That's how it always should have been. Prime was meant to have been the most powerful Autobot (cept for the obvious Metroplex and certain others). His Powermaster Prime was the first time they actually made an effort to make him look as impressive as he should have been. Pity he was such a crap toy.

i am anxious to play around with such poses some more. prime's new character is so excellently poseable....if they advertised points of articualation like recular action figures, transformers would kick so much ass...

Got my Sideswipe - severe lack of metal. They'd be impressive die-casts.

The doors being attached to the wheels which are attached to the shoulder joints etc are the only flaw in the design really. That and the gun is a bit poncy and about as menacing as a hairdryer. The Car Bonnet flapping around his arse is also a bit pooh - but I doubt there was much else of an option unless they made him a la Bluestreak with the foreportion of the car as his chest.
All in all, very nice.
Admired!

Be honest, at this moment I extremely admire those people who got the 20th anniversary Optimus Prime. I couldn't get any so far. Where to get it in BC? I'm wondering.
I have spent a hell lot of money on my newly bought vintage G1 collections. I guess I have to wait for a while to save up some money for the cool Optimus Prime.

Ben, could you take a picture of the three Autobots in vehicle mode for scale comparison? I'm curious on this; on the G1 figures the original cars look good along Optimus (although not correct beside the jets).

will do... tomorrow. i'll do an alt cast picture. in vehicle mode, prime is perfectly scaled 1/24th... same as the alts! also, i'm devising a way to make an alternators gestalt with prime. all i need to do is figure a way to cast some connector parts. maybe carve prototypes, and get them resin cast. either way, i will show some pictures of why it could work. also, if someone is interested in truck modeling, and knows where i could get a 1/24th scale box trailer kit, i want to kitbash it to work as O.P.'s trailer....

that wouldn't be as hard as this alternators one. at one point i had the transformation down for how they would fit together. all one needs is to fabricate connectors and the head and chestplate.
....which i don't know how to do. someone help me!

If you know any plastic molders, you can give them a design, they can do it, or you can go buy yourself plastic modling kit. Resin maybe to.
