Am I the last to learn this for the upcoming movie? Is Optimus Prime and Jetfire going to combine together? If so, this will be WAY COOL!!!

Sorry Magnus, it'll be up at 7:30 pm tonight. The version that was shown was from a handheld camera and was pretty crappy in quality. Yahoo! movies will have the full clean version, hopefully in hd.

sweet....I don't like having too say "oh is that such and such? Because I can't really tell." I kinda wish they would dumb down the cgi a bit. I had a headache after watching the first movie...

I can't say that about transformers but I definently felt that way after watching Starwars Episode I in theater.

Autobots in the new movie will feature less internal gearing visible, prime example would be Sidewipe already. much smoother, less CG parts.

I've not really looked into the new designs, waiting to see the film first. I hope smoother designs will mean more screen time as it should be cheaper if there are less moving parts right?

The new designs from the pics/vids I've seen are a lot better than the first movie. Much cleaner, it's almost as good as g1 in some cases (Long Haul being the primary example). Did anyone get a chance to see the mtv movie awards clip? I just watched it about an hr ago and it is amazing! This movie will be our Empire Strikes Back.

I haven't been able to keep up with the forums lately so forgive me if this is a rerun ....

I read about 7 Constructicons?
One of them named Overload!
There has not been any sign of toys for this character yet.

Now to add more to my confusion about the ROTF...

Legends Dev is just limbs and tractors with no bot mode
what about the Deluxe vehicles that are selling individually?
Rampage & Demolisher etc...
Will they also form the Devastator?

And
WTF does Ravage transform into?

Yes there's seven of them. Overload has been presented as a Legends character.

The Legends have bot and alt modes and also combine to form a small Devastator.
The Deluxes and Voyagers cannot form Devastator.
There's a combining big Devastator, but those figures only have alt modes, not bot modes...

Your guess is as good as any!
Spacecraft? Razor? Kibble?
Apparently he has a 2nd alt mode which has been dubbed chicken mode.

Movie looks pretty sweet. Glad to hear that they have redone some of the transformers and taken away some of the moving parts and such. Just watched the 1st one on Sunday and I am pretty excited about the 2nd one coming out. I have to say though that I found myself comparing the characters in the movie to the character I am familiar with in g1.
Just gotta get past that and enjoy the new movies I guess.

here is a little bit of info on devastator

Revenge of the Fallen Supreme Combining Devastator (2009, not released yet)

This toy is a non transforming set of vehicles which combine to form Devastator. The six-pack comes with Scavenger, Mixmaster, Long Haul, Rampage, Hightower and Scrapper. It also comes with an opening head, in order to emulate the trailer scene, and light up eyes. Notably, this set does not come with the seventh Constructicon known as Overload.

Also, Ravage has an alt mode of a submersible. He uses it for a short time and also has a rather large role in retrieving the allpark spinter that the govenrnment has (This isn't the same one as the one Same has)
