More info on Dirge...
Hello
He has been walking but he walks like he has been on an all night drinking session. He needs someone to help him up but when he is standing he can support himself and walk very slowly. They keep sticking pins into his left arm and hand to see if he can feel anything but so far he cant. He keeps telling his arm to " do as you are told and work " , the nurses find this funny and so do his friends, me less so.
It appears that he is in good spirits, as always if Kath gets in touch I will post it up.

Wow, that's amazing progress in 2 weeks, geez. I had IT band inflamation after a marathon run that had me sidelined for 4 weeks...I'm sure he'll be feeling those pins in no time!

I hope he's OK.... it's un-nerving not to hear for so long. I'm crossing my fingers that it's the long, slow rehab process which is causing the lack of info and not something more sinister.

Sorry not to have been in contact for so long but I have been bogged down with work and hospital visits and feeding a hungry cow ( and that is just me ). Derrick has got some feeling and movement back in his arm but cannot yet move his fingers although he can feel them. The doctors say he can come home this weekend so the next time you hear from us it may well be him himself
