Talking of Alternators - I just got a MIB Red Dodge Viper Sideswipe for £22 on EBay! Woooooo.... *parties* ....now for the rest of them.

actually, i rather like the appearance of sideswipe in robot form. my tow complaints are a) his arms are scrawny and b) the instructions actually are wrong! they display the windshield as being disjoined from the upper chest panel. actaually, the steering column can fold down to allow the windshield to connect to the upper chest, bu inserting the sun visors onto tabs in teh chest.

I have never looked at the inscructions.....

Just because I have yet to see it put on this site main page for it, the BT-06 Tracks Corvette Z06 will be Yellow in Japan, but the US Hasbro versions will be Blue, which will make probley all US collectors of the series happy, that they get the color he was in the older Corvette Sting Ray model in the series(Tracks is out in Japan, this month). BT-05 Dead End(Viper SRT-10 Race Version) is out in Japan, and I would make the guess it might be seen in the US, just because SilverStreak was released but was never listed on the Hasbro site. BT-07 is a remade Smokescreen, to match this years model Subaru Impreza WRX STi WRC car, plus, he now has a shoulder cannon, he is out in Japan , this month(August). BT-08, the Mazda RX-8 that was first seen on Mazda's website for the NAAS is 2 colors in Japan, but 1 for US. White is the main color, and Japan will also get a limited amoutn of Red, as Mazda wanted some red units, as they use a Red RX-8 in advertising. They also have got the name to call him AutobotJazz(one word), so he should have the name we know when he hits the US. BT-09 is a remade Wrangler ans is named Swindle. He has some extra chrome, differnet head, and a pant scheme more to his fitting. BT-10, is a Dinobot, Grimlock to be precise, and somewhat fitting his Dino strength, he is the 2005 Model Ford Mustang. He is gonna be Greyish Silver, which fits him, and probley please's Ford as the Mustang 05 Model has manily been shown, as Greyish Silver. BT-11, is possable a new BMW Mini Cooper, it was offical, then back to rumor. Last thing, is that I guess Hasbro is trying to get approval from Volkswagen(Audi owned) to get he lisence of the New Beetle, so they coudl do a Bumblebee. Guess that is.

The Tracks Alternators, for the US, has been confirmed Blue for the US< on the Hasbro US site.

Even though I have yet to find Hound, supposedly, a American version of Dead End(BT-05, Dodge Rivper Race Car)has been seen in the US. And Walmart now lists The US RX-8 figure, as Meister. Also Grimlock and Swindle are to.

well, i'm going to wausau tomorrow. i hope to find hound and silverstreak. notice all of em on the site are out of stock. i 'preciate the pics of grimlock, hadn't seen any yet. he kicks ass, i look forward to him. despite that dead end is sculpted as sunstreaker, that car looks pretty sharp in black, red and gold. also awaited.

ALTERNATORS KICK ASS

Wausau eh? I used to live there 2 different times, in 3 different houses. Rothchild livd in 2 house's there, that were only a few blocks away(had to get bigger house, sister was born), and in Weston I lived the second time. I always liked Wausau, even its downtown I liked.

The Mini, which was rumored to be BT-11(which I didn't believe much) is not happening right now, and They have not gotten the rights to it.

Thanks for the pics and links, RX-7 GT-X! And Trance, thanks for the updates to the http://www.transformerland.com main site's Alternators page. (i dunno whose came first, so i mention them in the order i found them.)

All of the Alternators look cool, but the Jazz-Meister doesn't look Jazzy enough for me. i can't quite put my finger on what he needs changed, but more black in robot mode and racing stripes on the car couldn't hurt.

And him Grimlock does kick butt, but if him Grimlock no bozo, him Grimlock not king, either. In my mind, Grimlock is supposed to be the Tyrannosaurus and Dinobot leader. Even when he was a Pretender, he was still a Dinobot. i've also seen him as an Action Master (both as a toy and a [Marvel?] comic book character), and DreamWave's *The War Within* has an interesting take on him, but those don't bother me as much as this Alternator because there's an explanation of how they relate to T. Rex Grimlock. At least the Mustang is better than that green guy from the Car Robots in Disguise Build Team. Still, i'll probably end up just telling myself he's somebody else (i couldn't do that when i was disappointed by the Unicron toy). Any suggestions? Or will the rest of you just laugh at my nitpickiness regarding a figure most of us can't even get our hands on, and i couldn't afford even if i did?

As for Mini Cooper Bumblebee--i dunno how accurate the reports/rumors are (Trance, what's your source?), but i mentioned this possibility long ago. Can i call 'em, or can i call 'em? (Of course, i also thought it was more likely that they'd make him a New Beetle, and i didn't think they'd make any characters whose G1 counterparts were Combiners or animals, either. Who's next, Wheelie? Perceptor? Cosmos?)

(And don't forget the potential alt-modes of a Toyota Matrix and a Nissan Armada!)

P.S.--Almost forgot to ask... What's the deal with the second Smokescreen?

The Second version, gives him a Arm Cannon in Robot Mode, but it is basically to make his Vehicle mode match a bit better with the Impreza WRX STi WRC that is running this year.

Also a rumor, that supposedly is confirmed, is that there will be a 3rd version of a Dodge Viper, ini t being Yellow, and its name being SUnstreaker, but don't hold your breath, it woudl be around BT-20 or so.
