When and where does it come on? I poo pooed the series at first, but some of the toys look like they'll be sort of cool, especially the Starscream.

Wow, I liked all BUT Starscream. The old lady TiVo'ed it, so I haven't seen it yet.

I thought it actually wasn't all that bad. It had some pretty good humor in it and my 12 yr. old thought it was alright. His favorite character is and always will be Bumblebee.

I esp. liked the very beginning where it started with the history of the transformers and showned scenes similiar to G1 series pilot. There was a scene where it showed the Cybertron Bumblebee and Wheeljack. And there were a few other reconized G1 scenes.

I liked the character Starscream too! We are going to have to give it some time. And we HAVE TO QUIT trying to slaughter it based on one episode! It's the next generation and it need to be judged standing on it's own! And like any series it takes alittle time to build up the characters and storylines. GIVE IT A CHANCE GUYS!!
I liked the Theme opening music and it was neat to hear the familiar transforming sounds and I liked that they included Teletran One and the Skyspy and how it scanned the vechile modes.

Overall this old timer and long fan of Transformers, gives this promising series a B+.

I think it's going to be... interesting. Granted, it's a kids' show, but it is soooo much better than all the cheap anime mindless mush on TV, and in past TF series. I think it will have some plotlines and themes, which is what would make the show in my opinion. the art's a little funky, but i haven't watched cartoons in forever and a half...
I like that the characters have some character, and I think the multiple personalities thing on blitzie will be amusing. It wet my whistle and whet my appetite.... Like Sentinel, I think it's got potential and i'm looking forward to seeing more.

BTW, RJ... we don't have TiVo, so i recorded it on good ol' VHS!!!

I Myself Have Yet To See It..
But I Did See The Artwork For It And It Looks Pretty Cool. Of Course Its Not Gonna Be The Same As G1.. If It Was It Would Be A Repeat. G1 One Will Always Have A Place In My Heart.. But The Past Is The Past. Thats What Makes It So Special.

I Think From The Artwork This New Show Will Be Hip And Exciting And Bring A Whole New Style To The Table For Transformer Fans. The Animation Seems To Be Keeping Beat With Other Cartoon Styles Out There.. And I Personally Find It Refreshing To See Someone Else's Vision Brought To The Table!

I just finished watching it. I left any reservations and expectations at the door and just enjoyed it for what it is. I'm still not sold on the animation style, but all in all, it wasn't bad. I certainly enjoyed it more than the few episodes of Energon/Armada or whatever that I've seen. Optimus Prime's voice threw me at first, but I got use to it.

What happened to the rest of Prime? When he's first converted into a fire truck, he's more than just a cab. Then, after he battles the mutant cockroach he's just a cab again. Where'd the rest of him go? (just like the trailer in G1, I guess)

I'm not sure I like the schizophrenic Blitzwing. Im pretty sure Decepticons should not sing.

By the way, did anyone else catch Spike and Daniel? When the story flashes forward 50 years you can see them at a hot dog or ice cream cart or something like that. They're dressed in the outfits from the movie.

I haven't seen it and god knows when I will. But reading everything here it sounds like it should (and I will) give it a chance. The fact that it tilts its hat in the G1 direction is what appeals to me the most. Hence I will give it an unbiased crack of the whip....when I see it.

Don't know if everyone all over the world got to see this pilot premeire, if not, I'm willing to make a good digital VHS reproduction without commericals of it, if you're interested. All you got to do is pay for S & H, I'l provide the VHS tape.

I have a DishNetwork DVR, which is nearly as good as a TiVo. Sorry I don't have DVD burner/player yet, working on one, but transferring from digital pic to VHS is not bad. Now...the big question is who still has a working VHS player?

Let me know!

I thought it was so-so. Not as bad as I'd feared, but not particularly spectacular, either. I'll keep watching to see how it develops. Bulkhead and Black Arachnia were cool; I liked them. Ratchet seems to be a mix of Ironhide and Wheeljack. Would like to see more of Ultra Magnus. Not sure how I feel yet about the little human girl... :?

Yes, I did see that! It didn't hit me that it was them until afterward, though.

That said, I'm left wondering why this thread about the cartoon show is in Toy Talk? Especially since we already have a thread for it in Non-Toy Talk, which is even stickied for your convenience...

As Arcee pointed out, this is in the totally wrong area and there is a thread for this topic.

thus I am locking this thread.

I had locked this due to the fact there is a 5 page thread for this new animated toon. Please continue the discussion there.
