I've read that there are two versions of him;one korean and one japanese.Does anybody know the difference between these two and how can you tell which is which?

I know that the japanese one was a 'lucky draw' prize. {plain white box}

And the korean ne had a large box with an art image of brave max on the front.

Brave Maximus is an extensive redeco of Generation 1 Fortress Maximus, essentially replacing much of Fortress's lighter colors with darker ones. Due to marketing campaign concerns, Brave Maximus was never released with all of Fortress Maximus' accessories, missing his two hand guns, Cog's components, and the two Master Swords. These parts were later offered as campaign and lucky draw prizes by Takara.

Despite this, Brave Maximus retains all of Fortress' functionality, being able to transform from his 2 foot tall robot mode to battleship mode to city mode and back again. In city mode he features a rotating radar, a jail cell, a working elevator that leads to a button-activated car launcher, and two manual car launchers on his arm-ramps.

The only difference is that the korean version desn't come with the master sword accessory.

I have yet to decide old friend...I have most of the money but i'm not sure because if i add another 150 euros i could buy a PS3.....

Ahh, tough choice. I would go with the Fort Max, but having said that I don't go into Ps games anymore. You must think about it long and hard before making up your mind. Look at it this way old frien, PS3's will get cheaper. A fort Max/Brave Max will onlt get more expensive as time goes on.

I would have to concur with CM....PS3 will only go down in price. Fort/Brave Max is sure to only go up. And with another movie on the way prices are going to go up across the board for all TF figures I would think.

The PS3 will be worthless in a few years. The Fort Max will be much more expensive in the same time.

I have the Korean version of him. And I recently found a master sword for him on Evilbay! It's a hugh sword! very cool looking!

I forgot about it Sunstreaker, but there was a g1 Fort Max that just ended at $183 usd. he had most of his body guns and cerebros. I'll keep an eye out for one again for you.

I thought there were 3 versions of brave max ...
correct me if wrong..

- The lucky draw one with all the accesoiries (blue sword, black guns etc etc). White box, more expensive then a fortress maximus.

- The korean release , marking on the front of the box refering to the maker (sonokong, but not sure on this). This is the boxed one I bought a year ago. No handgun, no double laser, no sword.

- The japanese release, same box as the korean, but missing some markings. Friend of mine had that one but sold it.

The only difference is in the boxes, the bots are the same in regarding to the japanese and the korean version. There is a chinese guy on "auction site" that sells custom recasts of brave/fort accesories.

OT, I'd buy a Fort Max before a PS3 too, even though it pains me to say it, I'm aching to play Gran Turismo...

1) U.S. Fortress Maximus
