Classics series

Okay, as I have stated elsewhere, I have started collecting the classics line so as to have a nice small collection of tf's, but not break the bank in doing so.
I have been fairly impressed with these figures, as they are faithful to the cartoons for both vehicle (with some minor alterations), and robot modes. In fact it is as if the robot modes were taken from the cartoonist's sketches, and the vehicle modes were worked into this. The Decepticon Jets are extremely well constructed, as is Rodimus (Hot Rod), and the all have articulation at the knees and elbows. The lack of die-cast is okay for me, as decent construction outweighs materials used in this case.
Though some have a few details I wish had been figured out before packaging (the "wings" on Bumblebee and Cliffjumper), I certainly hope that the movie toys have not put an end to this line (they just started popping up in stores again after the movie toy release clean out).
So, how does everyone else feel about this series of figures? If the line is continued who would you want to see next? (My vote is for Ironhide, Jazz, and the rest of the jets.)

I hate to say it, but I think classics was just a holdover until the Movie toys came out. Be sure to snag the Magnus/Skywarp 2-pack at Target, it's a nice set. I just read they are doing a Thundercracker repaint, too. But it's going to be a Botcon exclusive, and probably ridiculously expensive. Phooey.

I have the skywarp, but as I already have the gen 1 Mag, I felt no reson to replace him. Sad though, if the do not continue the series.

hey from the good ole US of A!
Classics line may nto return as TT said, which is a bummer!
Magnus your request for the rest of the seekers will not happen as TT mentioned they are indeed doing Thundercracker, but they are have done Dirge and Trust as Botcon exclusives they come as a five pack with Bugbite and a repaint of Jetfire whose name escapes me right now.
It looks like our classics line is done, but they had a longer list they were gonna make which included Arcee and many others, lets hope the fan voices are heard and they continue

Dreadwind is the JF repaint. looks pretty good. unfortunately, all of these are going to cost buku bucks on account of their exclusive-ness. and i still have to hunt down an original dreadwind!

Yeah, I had seen that, but for some reason it just didn't impress me. I think it had something to do with the clear windows?

idk, the windows would work better if there were more silver and less blue on the rest of it.

So, whom do we contact to tell them to get off their haunches and to make me an Ironhide?

well, they did a recolor of energon towline as ironhide, who the molding was designed after anyway.
of course, it's a botcon exclusive and very expensive.

TT, I honestly am beginning to believe that you are only visiting this thread to rain on my parade.
The only places I can find to give Hasbro feedback seem to be the customer service options for items already on the market, not for advising on which lines are the coolest.

Hasbro presented a list at a con a year or so back of Classics they would like to make, the list had loads of other characters, but they may never see the light of day if they truly stick to it being a filler line.
If they choose to continue the line then they are VERY smart cos the classics are great figures.

Like you?
Yeah, that and the Classics line attracts a lot of reborn collectors, like our buddy Magnus here. Hopefully they keep it going between Movies. Speaking of which....5 days! *Blows a fuse or two*

you know my motto
I dunnow i own an original kup, and i think that the classic series is an "elan" to collecting the "originals"
i got a classic prime, i bought an g1 prime,
got a ramjet, (can't find starscream) now i ordered a re-edition of starscream
you see where i'm going?

Ok, an update on my classics, I now have Bumble, Cliffjumper, Hot Rod (refuse to call him Rodimus), Mirage, Voyager Prime, Voyager Megatron, Astrotrain, Skywarp, Starscream, Ramjet.
I do not plan on picking up any mini-cons, or Jetfire.
I also picked up the Cybertron Smokescreen, which seems to be just as good as a classics figure.
I am still searching for a Grimlock, so if any of you guys find one under $20, let me know.
