Hasbro Ultimate Toy Line

Hi all,

I have just caught the bug after watching the movie and went nuts! I bought 3 of the Hasbro's Ultimate Toy series: Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Bumblebee.

I have always been a Transformers fan, since the 80s. As a kid I had every collection imaginable; from Star Wars to G.I. Joe. As I got older and moved out of my parents house I gave those away to my younger brothers, and, of course, they wrecked them all.

I just want to collect a few Transformers in my old age. I want to display these in my home office.

I don't understand about how these are being promoted. Hardly any defining data. Like dimensions! I bought them on Amazon. I would like to know whether they will be in some sort of scale or if they will all be the same size.

There was one comment under the Optimus Prime product listing at Amazon that mentions a foot when in combat mode. But that was about it.

If anyone knows, can you help me out with this? I will appreciate it very much.

Also, does anyone know if anymore will be released in the Ultimate series? Ironhide, etc. Aside from the three I bought I would seriously consider getting Ironhide; that is, if I am still alive, my wife is looking at me funny. LOL!

Looks like I made a mistake.

This page set me straight.

# Ultimate Class

* Bumblebee

# Leader Class

* Megatron
* Optimus Prime

So I bought two classes, Leader and Ultimate. I can't believe I made this mistake. Oh, well. I guess I will have to wait until the Ultimate series gets the Transformers I want and then I will have to buy them again just to have them in the same class.

An expensive lesson, huh?

So which Bumblebee do you have then?

the way I read his post his has Ultimate BB (which I didn't think was out yet) and the leader class Prime and Megs.

As from the "Ultimate line" you mentioned, you have all the figures in it. BB is the only guy getting the ultimate treatment. Thought the Unleashed series is getting Megs and Prime figures to add to the BB in that range.

I don't have Bumblebee (Ultimate), yet. This will come out in September, I pre-ordered it. This is the new Camaro.

I want the Ultimate Bumblebee, but I thought that the Optimus Prime and Megatron I bought were part of the Ultimate line. Those are on their way in the mail. I will not be returning them, just that if I had read more carefully I would have understood more clearly that these two are in the Leader class line, and as such would not have bought them in the first place. Although at this point I have no idea if they will even make it to the Ultimate line?

From what I can tell the Ultimate class of toys seem to have a lot more detail to it. Also, in my view, it looks more like the Bumblebee in the movie. The Optimus Prime and Megatron in the Leader class do not.

Oh? I see... would have been nice to get more in the Ultimate line. It seems much cooler.

Thanks for the info.

The standard movie figures have 4 sizes.

Leader class (Prime, Megatron and soon to be released Brawl)

Voyager class (Ironhide, Ratchet, Starsceam, Prime and Megs)

Deluxe class (Bumblebee 74 Camaro, Jazz, Barriade, Brawl, Bonecrusher nd 08 BumbleBee, plus numerous other like Arcee and final battle Jazz)

Scout Class (these are the smallest one and include the likes of the sector 7 vehicles and the Target exclusive Blue repaint energon Arcee)

If you want them in scale for movie sizes you would get the Leader class, Voyager and Deluxe class movie characters.

FYI...

General main warehouse type stores (walmart, toys r us, target etc) will get the Ultimates on the release date of Sept 15th. There are however a few places and i am not sure how they determine who gets them but smaller independent places as well as some overseas will have acess to the ultimates with the release of the movie overseas which i believe is july 27th or something like that.

So don't be surprised if you see some of these ultimates floating around by the end of the month.

Michelle
(no i am not the michelle in the premiere line)

Heh heh. I get the feeling the boys are going to have to behave real well if they're getting an Ultimate Bumblebee. Hopefully all the animatronics are designed forgivingly!

Hi,

I pre-ordered mine. I am seeing the prices of the Leader being jacked up by toy stores online so I wanted to make sure I get one around the MSRP price.

They know adults are buying these to collect them, so they are abusing us.

No kidding, they've been abusing us for years.
