those 'Seacons' looks to be in fantastic shape!! I'd love to get hold of a God Neptune set...
Though they're dated 1987, I believe they were released in 1998.
@Minerva when I check that page only 2 pictures are visible to me, 1 yellow 1 white.
And my yellow one has no rub sticker on the hood, or a place for one unless they put it partly over the hood detail.
@Hound Wikipedia agrees with you. But it sure looks to me like 1987 on all 4 of them, and all 4 are marked Takara 1987, Hasbro 1987. And it seems unusual for KO to be stamped, although perhaps I just have cheaper KOs, but if they were going to stamp it why use the wrong year?
I do have both of these and the third one released which was Ultra Magnus. The two shoes are the Nike Sports Label Convoy and Megatron. The red & white one is Convoy and the black & grey is Megatron.
@ ramjet. I don't know those ones all have hood stickers too. Would they put a rub sticker partially over a raised hood detail? But the car shape and wheels do look right.
The guy selling it is calling it a G1 headmaster, which the database doesn't confirm. I had chalked it up as being mislabeled. But I say another one in a lot a transformer parts, which made it more likely it was just something I wasn't familiar with.
There were four of them in total. Blacker, Laster, Braver and Star Sabre.
THey were called Brainmasters, same idea as headmasters really. The difference was the first three combined to form Road Ceaser. When releeased as a toy in Europe it never came with the parts to combine into Road ceaser. They were originally a Japanese toy so I'm certain that Deszaras will be able to add more to this.
CM covered almost everything. They appear in the Victory series. The european versions didn't include the accessories to combine them and the bots were renamed to Flame,Lightspeed and Gripper. The european name for the team is Motorvators and were assigned as personal enemies of Overlord.I had two of them as a kid.Great toys. They are not going for cheap, especially the japanese versions. One of those loose complete goes for 60$++ i think (EU version).
Far over the Misty Mountains cold, To dungeons deep and caverns old. The pines were roaring on the height, The winds were moaning in the night, The fire was red, it flaming spread, The trees like torches blazed with light.
Yep most of what is needed to be told has been said.
You open up the chest of the robot and put one of those inside. When you then close the chest the robot mode's face slides into position. A simple little gimmick that gives them there 'brainmaster' classification.
