wierd error
Maybe someone here can help me. I can access the site just fine from both work and home but when I try to get on at home the site tells me the last update was on the 20th of may and the forum does not show the same as the one I see in work. {The last post visible to me at home is mrstrances site outage thread.}
Has anyone else encountered this problem? and is there anyway to fix it.

well in an attempt to get round it I subscribed to replies on a couple of active threads.
Upon clicking the links in the emails I got sent it states 'specified post does not exist'.
How can the post not exist when I got sent an email saying that new replies have been added.

Sounds like a right pain Des. Maybe try clearing out the temp internet files on the PC and see if it makes a difference? I only have access to the one PC and haven't noticed any problems yet.... Keep us posted bud.

You are seeing the site on the old server.
For example, if you go to the main page, the blue line on top should read TRANSFORMERS TOYS (DEDICATED SERVER)...this is the new server. If you don't see that, you're still seeing the old server.
I am not clear if that is because the DNS hasn't resolved where your home computer is located (though that seems unlikely since I imagine your home and work are pretty close geographically) OR if it is an issue with your home computer's cache not clearing.

well it reappeared on sunday {I tried flushing the DNS cache but it still brought up the same site.
So after one day of working my home PC has gone back into looking up and displaying the old server.

Dez:
What I'm saying is that this may not have anything to do with you or your computer. One way to find out for sure is to take your laptop (it is a laptop, yes?) to work, and try to connect from their internet connection.
What I suspect is that your ISP is WAY outside the loop, so it's taking a while for the new DNS to resolve at your ISP's location. During this process, the new page CAN come and go, as it seems you experienced.
Anyhow, try your laptop at work and let me know...if you see 2 different things from the same location, then it is your computer, otherwise it is your ISP.
Check your PM, I've given you a temporary solution. Remember to keep checking the URL to make sure you're not pointed at transformerland.com =)
