Hidden TFs at your store?
Have you ever been walking around Wal-mart or Target and after you finish at the Transformer section, you find a whole different batch of them in another section of the store? Im not talking about the few in front of the aisle, im talking about "Whoa! What are these doing here?" Like at my local Wal-mart, we have the TF section, a whole lot of Fearswoop sets by the bikes, and some Universe figures in the movie section.
This kind of placement go on where you live? If so share some wacky store locations!

My walmart does it all the time. Currently they have the transformers section which has solely Rotf figures now, as of the last month or so all of the animated leftovers, activators and the one Universe Stormcloud that was left just misteriously disappered. The never went on clearance and I doubt that they sold as they had been their for months on end without selling... I always new it was the same Stormcloud because it had a very noticable and characteristic scratch on the wing that could be seen through the plastic.
Currently all the fearswoops are about two isles away next to the scented candles

All that was needed is a catalyst... and the machines of war are set in motion.

Wait... are you saying that Cybertron Metroplex is STILL on shelves at your local toy store? Are you referring to a chain, or a local collector's shop?!Minerva wrote:There aren't any hidden TFs at our local toy store. They're just terribly overpriced, which means that no one buys them and they just sit there warming the shelves.
If Cybertron Metroplex ever gets on sale I'll buy him.
EDIT: Wait Pt. 2. Judging by TT's comment... I'm guessing this is a local collector's shop? And they're asking the equivalent of... $100 USD?

I think Minerva was saying they're more than $40.00 USD and TT said the toy's really only worthwhile at about 60% off the original US retail (i.e. it's a suck-o toy).Banzai-Tron wrote:Wait... are you saying that Cybertron Metroplex is STILL on shelves at your local toy store? I have. Several times. It isn't really referencing the whole TFs hidden in areas where they shouldn't be. (i.e. Fury of Fearswoop packs being by the bikes and Universe figures being in the movies as opposed as to being with the rest of the TFs)Posted by PrimeDirectiveSomebody needs to re-read my post. The Last Autobot wrote:

That's not even remotely what we're talking about.
We're talking about TFs that aren't where they should be.
Not about TFs whose stock is low.

I'm not sure what you'd call it, but it's a private-owned toy store, not a chain. The price was around $60-70 when I last checked.Banzai-Tron wrote:Wait... are you saying that Cybertron Metroplex is STILL on shelves at your local toy store? I have noticed that Walmart has TF's all over the place. You really need to cover the whole toy section.
Now onto Toys R Us. Check above in the aisles and look at the cover shelves with the pictures. Those lift up and you can open those. I think they are for overstock or something, but I've found many Transformers I was looking for up there! I also found them underneath the displays by taking off the metal guard. I found some older Beast Wars toys that some eployee thought was safe there. lol.

Methinks you missed the joke, then. His point was that Devastator is moving SOOOO slowly that if there's one behind another, it's hidden. The Last Autobot wrote:I have. Several times. Banzai pretty much covered it. Apart from my own, I only know of one being bought here.
Besides, ALL the Transformers are right next to the bikes. Why did they put them there? I don't know. They were fine where they were originally. And those Universe figures that were over in the movie section were there because of the release of RotF on DVD. Not really "hidden" by any means.

They're no longer in electronics, that mod was changed for New Moon merchandise..PrimeDirective wrote:Banzai pretty much covered it. Apart from my own, I only know of one being bought here.

Guys, guys, guys (Pulls out soap box labeled "Jazz", places it, stands on it)........by "hidden" I meant oddly placed TF's and the like, not "hard to find" or "stashed behind the shelves"(Although pretty funny location Skywarp408). PD, buddy, im not going to lay out the floor plan of our Wal-mart, but theres an aisle between the TF's and bikes. The "Hidden" Fearswoop sets I speak of our along that back wall behind the bikes. I don't know where you got the Devastator thing, but lets just get this cleared up and get back on the funny odd-ball locations at stores. (steps off soap box, picks it up, and exits)
