Re: New Non-TF Toy Purchases!

That roleplay sword is cool, I had no idea they existed! I'm sure it's as rare as hen's teeth. These come up loose in the website, but are often missing the pommel, and it is an integral part of the Sword not only for appearance, but also if you want to make the Eye light up. It's amazing how hardy...

Re: What are you currently watching?

Oh, I'm aware of the Internet Archive, it's a good site. It appears most of my box sets are OK, I have a sealed copy of Voltron that I have not opened yet, but that will be on my list soon. The thing that angers me the most about the DVD integrity failures is that people who are honest go out and p...

Re: The MOTU trailer and upcoming toylines!

I'm honestly shocked at the amount of PR that's been surrounding the film... Krispy Kreme has themed donuts, Denny's has themed meals, there were a metric ton of specialized display-worthy popcorn buckets and all sorts of stuff, I've seen LOADS of ads and interviews and such, not to mention the hug...

Re: What are you currently watching?

Oh, i'm aware of disc rot. I'm thankful my newer complete collection does not have it, and I am pretty sure my Swat Kats collection is okay but I should check again.. There is an entire list that grows by the day online about the discs that are deteriorating. Of *COURSE* SilverHawks season 1 and th...

Re: The MOTU trailer and upcoming toylines!

The trailer looks spectacular! They have me just for using Cringer as the replacement for the roaring lion in their studio logo in the introduction of the trailer. I just hope he speaks in the movie, and that Orko is there too. From the looks of things, at least MGM didn't skimp on the visual effect...

Re: What are you currently watching?

IMO Season 1 is pretty grrrrrrrreat. (You can imagine that in the Tony the Tiger voice if you wish!) Fun action, decent characterization, and it all basically wraps up at the end. You're right, the first season truly is a great watch, and to be honest, there were so many terrific choices to be made...

Re: New Non-TF Toy Purchases!

Congratulations! PIX OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN! https://imgur.com/a/iIxzivr The only thing I did was remove the Toys R Us price label off it. Got this too a few months ago, but I've never shown it in here. It was the second to last grail, a MOSC Lion-O (orange hair) with Snarf. I had to fixed frayed edge...

Re: Fixing siezed snap out wing arm feature on SilverHawks figures

Excellent fix suggestion! I've noticed a phenomenon in some Transformers and other toy joint functions where dust (sometimes dust eroded from the plastic from itself) accumulates in a microscopic layer that increases the friction a bit too much for the torque to overcome. I wonder if compressed air...

Fixing siezed snap out wing arm feature on SilverHawks figures

I just got a lot of SilverHawks figures in, and one of the figures' squeeze leg/snap out arm feature was not working because the arms were stuck out to their sides. (as described, the seller was very honest about it in the description) I fiddled around with the figure for a little bit, and after man...

Re: New Non-TF Toy Purchases!

It took 41 years, but with the acquisition of a complete, American boxed LJN ThunderCats Sword of Omens, I have finally finished my 1985-1988 LJN ThunderCats collection, at least, it is as complete as I am going to make it. This website's store made it possible for me to have Cat's Lair in the origi...

Re: What are you currently watching?

I'll have to have you fill me in on that Primal S3... Curious what it was that sort of cooled you off on it! Well, I really can't get into the bare bones about it because if I did with the series' season two end, I would be spoiling for people who may have not seen the series yet. If you want to kn...

Re: What are you currently watching?

Okay, I talked up Primal season three and I just was left wondering what in the world. I mean I enjoyed it, but I just didn't get into it as I did the first two seasons. The animation was beautiful and the "silent" storytelling was again perfect. It wasn't outright terrible, but it was kin...

Re: Super 7 has greenlit TigerSharks figures!

Just wanna throw out here the fact of the INCREDIBLY low cost of producing and assembling standard ReAction (Kenner Star Wars-style) figures. I've also been shocked that Super7 are justifying the $20+cost right beside ReAction+ (GI Joe ARAH-style) figures (like my beloved Micronauts!) I think the m...

Re: What are you currently watching?

Primal and season three of Primal on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, and as for me-it's practically the only show the channel has going for it. If you all like all of CN's programming, that's fine, I'm not knocking your viewing tastes, I'm just surprised that CN still has enough intestinal fortitude t...

Re: not quite your favorite

Wheeljack............always the answer. He's got a cool robot mode, flashing lights when he speaks- wings in the back- and goodness knows you can't go wrong with his G-1 alt mode, an under-sung Italian sportscar-the 1978 Lancia Stratos-all dolled up in non-copyright infringing Alitalia labels. Wheel...

Re: Super 7 has greenlit TigerSharks figures!

Thanks for posting this, this is GREAT news! I'm still a big fan of the show to this day and I'm absolutely going to pick up everything Super 7 puts out in this line. It's a shame that it's so hard to watch the show, as it's definitely not as well known as the other Rankin-Bass programs, and as suc...

Super 7 has greenlit TigerSharks figures!

There are going to be Super 7 Ultimates TigerSharks figures!!!!!!!! :D 8) For those who may not know, TigerSharks was part of a Rankin-Bass production called "The Comic Strip", and the premise of the show was that of well, a comic strip as there were four different shows in one. TigerShark...

Re: Broken Piece

In the vein that Time Traveler has asked, if you have all the pieces that came off your broken clear plastic piece, no problem! Do not use super glue, wise knowledge imparted from Time Traveler years ago. Cyanoacrylate warps plastic, and it gets worse over time. What works wonders is Gorilla Glue 2 ...

Fixing foxed box and card edges

Anyone who collects boxed or carded action figures know that dings and scrapes happen over the span of a sealed or open toy's lifetime. Sometimes the edges of boxes at the lip that goes inside the box to hold it closed the " L " tab gets frayed at the end, and sometimes in cards, due to pr...
