Picked up a nice Coronation Starscream today at my local Walmart. Box was very nice but had a little bit of wear on one corner. I had ordered one from Amazon awhile back but when it arrived it had been opened and the box was very rough.

Grabbed a Kingdom/Legacy Blaster, after a preorder was cancelled due to ending production of the Kingdom version. He's a big improvement over Titans Return, goes well with Netflix Soundwave, but ultimately transforms much the same way as all other tape guys. Eject is cute, it's too bad they killed off the Micromaster size class, or we could get the rest of the Autobot tapes remade. Guess they had to make room for tiny versions of Prime, Megatron, and Starscream....

Kingdom Blaster is one of my faves. I wish we'd get more cassettes too. Oh well.

We might, eventually. We got MP Nightstalker, Stripes, Wingthing, and Enemy after all... Maybe Legacy will do some Autobot Cassettes with some giftset or something. I wish Hasbro hadn't decided that "we" HATE Micromasters and instead need more tiny Optimus, Megatron, Bumblebee, Starscream, Grimlock, and Soundwave. At least Core Class gave us Iguanus and Dracodon.

I finally got some shelves set up in my empty bedroom. Got about 7 or 8 big totes emptied and all my transformers out on shelves for a change. I just picked up a sealed ROTF devastator figure off of ebay that I been wanting for a long time. Also picked up a sealed Ultimate Bumblebee too. Got a little more room on my shelves to fill in with figures. :D

I've "ventured" into the KO domain now. Picked up a KO MP36 Megatron and I am impressed by the quality of work. Transformed him back and forth a few times, now he stays in robot mode and I don't really touch him.

Then, as a sort of "graduation" gift for myself (I got my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science this year), I picked up a KO of MP44 Prime, and I'm not all impressed with him that much, but you get what you pay for I guess. I heard it's better quality then the actual thing, but he has some issues.

I discovered a toy shop today while exploring a new down town today. They had a bunch of Transformers and I picked up the Earthrise Quintesson Judge. I missed him when he was out originally. It was 2021 which was a very hit and miss time period for obvious reasons. Pretty neat they actually made this guy. I am surprised they never put him out with the SS86 line.. though now that I said that.. I hope they don't given what I paid for this guy today lol.

I hope they don't put him in SS86 either, since 86 has been going on since Earthrise was on shelves, I thought they were meant to compliment each other! The Quint Judge is a weird set, it is cool that they made him in a mainline series. Does yours have any discoloration issues? 2020-21 was a rough time for that.

I had not thought about that. SS86 has been going on a longggg time now. The fact we are just now getting Megs..

No discoloration and yeah it is a very weird set. I am never going to bother transforming it. I am just gonna put in amongst all the Sharkticons I've gotten over the years. Its to bad they didn't just make him a static figure and pack him with Allicon or something. It does come with some assembly require. two of the faces had to be clipped on and let me tell you.. That was an effort in futility. I watched a half dozen unboxing videos to see other people do it. Completely ridiculous how they are attached.

By the way what about the SS86 Megatron..? Tank mode is garbage but expected. But his bot mode seems pretty dang good.

Re: Quintesson Judge, they did release him with Allicons in the Pit of Judgement set!
I'm disappointed in SS86 Megs mostly because they can't seem to nail the tank mode (Combiner Wars Leader Megatron did the tank mode beautifully). I'm getting irritated that they seem to have forgotten how to make a tank turret pivot in the center. It doesn't seem like it should be that hard to do! I'll forgive it for Cybertronian tanks like Concept Series Megatron, but SS86 Megatron, Studio Series Brawl, and ESPECIALLY Legacy United Quake have made a mockery of tanks. It's two bricks that turn in the middle, is it that much to ask?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that! Well.. the place I got the judge from has the Allicon but they want 50 for it.. though I guess that isn't bad considering how much things cost these days for the new stuff.

I got a chuckle about what you said about the Tank modes.. I had to thin back but yeah every tank they have made for a while now has not rotated. It feels like a huge cop out. For what they are charging these days. None of them rotate. Like you said the cybertronian modes.. sure but even so they should be able to perhaps even more so have a form that allows for it.

I know we will never get a Megs as a gun again. Though I wouldn't mind seeing them think outside the box like they used to. I loved the Unicron Trilogy. We had a Tank in Armada, a Jet in Energon, and the most bad ass Batmobile ever in Cybertron.

That being said SS86 Megs really looks pretty awesome in robot mode. I just recently bought the Blokees Megatron because I thought it would be a while before we ever got a decent toy of him that looked like G1. As a side note the Blokees kit btw was a ton of fun to build and has a lot of great accessories.

Let's not forget Earthspark recently cast Megatron as a tiltrotor gunship, and we got an anemic deluxe class that makes him appear smaller than Bumblebee in robot mode.

Earthspark I will admit has largely fallen under the radar for me. I had to go look it up. Neat concept. Likely could be really cool if done bigger.

Did you see the Fanstream yesterday?

I did not, but I've seen the highlights. I am shocked by, and looking forward to, Airachnid!

I've gotten 2 of the SS86 Constructicons so far. Scrapper and Bonecrusher. Waiting to see the rest.

I've got the Hook/Long Haul pack as well. They're good. Not incredible, just good. Don't get me wrong, big improvement over Combiner Wars, but I'm kinda starting to feel "Seen one Constructicon, seen em' all".

I liked how big Combiner Wars Devy was. While this is definitely a smaller scale they overall did a better job (so far) with SS86.

As cool as they may be, to me every new Constructicon mold feels like a missed opportunity to make a toy version of Devastator able to swap limbs with other combiner teams. Liokaiser can swap limbs with Volcanicus and Abomenaticus, so why not the Predacons and Monstructicons? i also really like what IDW did that one time, where Scavenger's and Bonecrusher's treads became Devastator's forearms. Such an elegant way to reduce the need for extra parts. And the treads even form Scavenger's and Bonecrusher's legs, so their hips/waists could become Devastator's elbows.
