why does he have SS paint job colors?
why in alt mode does his bot mode face sit there but only have one lil bit of plastic to cover his face?

Well, I found and got one... They did away with a lot of that blue in production, leaving a mostly silver and red look. Don't forget, starscream and Megatron were both silver.
The bot mode is pretty beefy looking, it has a staunch, bullylike appeal. He looks pretty evil. His left arm has an Automorph Fusion cannon, it looks pretty wicked. His right hand turns into a chain whip, it's kinda bizarrely neat. You pull the lever and it snaps out straight, like one of those pushbutton puppets. The transformation is straightforward and nice, but the legs have to be rejiggered into a weird angle, which i haven't quite got the hang of yet. the alt mode reminds me very much of a dragon. The only thing that bothers me is that the head is not totally concealed. Unless they play on this in the movie, idk. I think my favorite part is some of the automorph is pretty dramatic. Like, you flip down that center cockpit thing, and the wings do this nifty multijointed extension. when you push the chest button, the panels on his chest all extend out, the way they shift around is kinda neat.
He's not my favorite Megatron, but it's a cool toy nonetheless.
