Transformers "Hardwired" novel :!:

Post by Time Traveller »

has anyone else seen this? i was in a waldenbooks on a road trip with the guys, and one of them pointed this out to me. i couldn't resist it, and when we got back i instantly dug in. it's quite excellent. it takes place apparently post-movie, and uses all classic G1 chars. it says its going to be the first in trilogy. for those who are interested

Transformers: Hardwired by Scott Ciencin. Liscensed by hasbro, published by ibooks.

if anyone else has seen/ read it, let's hear some feedback! if you ask me, this is WAY beyond fanfic. haven't finished yet, but so far... five stars. bravo

i got the book a few moths ago. it is excellent. the story actually seems to take place around the time of the new dreamwave comics. isaw the second book a month ago, but it sold out  so i'll keep looking. i expect it to be as good as the first.

just last night, i stubled across it at amazon.com, and the third book as well. i'm not familiar with the DW storyline, and don't care to familiarize with one other than the gen1 storyline by marvel (G2 by marvel was good as well) and the g1 cartoon. this seems to fit mostly, so i read it, and was greatly pleased. i'll be hunting the next two since i know they're out.

they dont work of the movie at all. no galvatron, cyclonus, scourge or any 2006 characters. they are independent novels. wont spoil by telling you what happens spike but they are good. book 1 is called hardwired then book 2 is annihilation then 3 is called fusion. they are an excellent read when done in order, especially when i....
well if you cant get them i will tell you what happens. there are loads of twists and turns. let me know if you have any luck getting them.

i also read that these books follow dw rather than marvel... i'm not really proficient with anything, but marvel and the original animated series... still, i'm gonna get myself a copy of the first book...
