KO cassettes and Swoop

Post by Ramjet »

Any info on them? The ones that are packaged like G1's. Some people have said the Swoop's are exactly like the original, and some buy them just for the box. Others have said there's no sword. Same with the cassettes. I just can't afford $30 per cassette.

I have one KO cassette a pure black rumble/frenzy and the quality is the same as G1 (and he was in G1 style packaing). Never had a swoop of any kind so I can't tell you anything of him.

Single pack? I was looking at the 2-packs on the auction site. I've seen pretty much all the Decepticons. I was going to go after a Ratbat first. And what are Kiss Players, exactly?

kiss players are binatech TFs with a small (usually) female character in the same packaging. Mine was part of a two pack but the other TF in the pack was ravage and i gave him to my cousin as I already had one.

Are they really re-issues? The cassettes, that is.

I'd really like to know how good those Swoops are, in particular?! I'm tempted, :P

I haven't handed over one of those KO Swoops (I must admit though, that it has been partially because I want to resist the temptation of getting one of them instead of the original), but I have heard from a very reliable source that they are not so good, for the price they cost, but not really bad. In quality they are like the KO Primes, if you have had one in your hands (I did).

As for the cassettes, I have had a couple of them in my hands (Frenzy and Laserbeak) and they fooled me until I noticed the weapons were just too perfect. They have sharper lines than the originals and that's what can make you tell. Otherwise, they are pretty good I have to say. But if you are picky, you will take a non-mint original instead.

I think it's more expensive than hard to find! I still don't have one, but I have waited long until I can find a good original sample. But if you are in a rush and have the cash, you can go to evilBay or several TF stores and get one, of course for a premium.

However, it's the hunt what makes the fun IMO. It has taken me a while to get my collection and I don't mind the wait. Of course, sometimes you get chances you can't let slip by...

I see them on the auction site. The Swoop usually goes for about $70, and a Frenzy/Ratbat just went for $27.
