Latest on Megs painting;

I've covered all those pencil areas in black first and will move onto establishing all the thin lines with a thin marker again. I'm going to start on colour first though, like I did with Sunstorm. The marker looked better after the first base coat colours last time, so I'm sticking to that technique. I've mixed a little metal filament into the black paint i've applied, as I plan to with the greys and such to give him a metallic finish from certain angles. The photo with flash captures it a little;

aww shucks, I feel embarassed! I don't normally take positive comments well, but I thank each and every one of you who has had some words of encouragement for me.

When I was in school/college, I was very sure of my abilities with a pen and some paint..... then I discovered going out and getting boshed and for 7 years, I just haven't put pen to paper even once. I started the SunStorm pic, really not expecting much, and so I was all the more pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out.

The thing is, I think I have said this before, but I'm a great copier. If you asked me to draw a picture of Megs or anything, without something to work from except for imagination, it would turn out awful. Seriously!

However, give me a picture and ask me to copy it, and I can do it without a problem. I have a friend who makes my drawing look positively amateur - and he has that special gift. To be able to take the picture from his mind and put it on paper. I am always in awe of people who can do that.

I'm hoping to have this Megs one finished by the end of the week. Completing it in stages like this gives it a nicer finish, as I'm not rushing it. It allows each stage to dry properly before I start on it again....

OK - latest on CM's pic. I've decided to finish the black outline, so most of the pencil is covered. It allows me to rest my hand whilst I draw, otherwise it smudges the pencil everywhere

I'll apply the first layer of grey base colour tomorrow. He's looking quite good so far..

Thanks guys - the support really helps kick my ass into gear to get it finished

Wait til you see the paint effect I got planned for the eyes

By the way - I reckon I'll be finished with this by friday, then it's on to another one. If anyone wants one doing, they're £30..... or you could be inventive and give me a TF for one.

he eats the Energon bagles I have given him!!!! for the world just before unicron eats the world and CM's bagle so that is why he looks so mad

He eats bots like Computron for breakfast with them.

Then uses Goldbug as a toothpick.

Thanks again for the positive words - I didn't get chance to do any more on it last night. I was being selfish and sat and watched TV for the evening yesterday

Yeah - the RPG is lotsa fun, aint it?

I must admit - when I was doing the megs picture, I thought it strange that he had teeth too, but there they are on the pic I'm working from. I think they're the same colour as his face though, instead of white, so they don't stand out so much like proper gnashers
