The old timer looks at Rodimus with a look that says "finally, it's time to step up to the plate lad"

Starscream, this is Rodimus Prime, Iacon is fully armed and you are the target. State your intentions, you have 30 seconds to comply

Rodimus does a cut throat signal and Kup closes the channel

Okay, seems the Cons are forcing our hand here. Arcee, Cambreaker. I want a battle unit ready and waiting at the main entrance, the minute Screamer even so much as blinks in a hostile way, you guys take him down!
Blurr, keep that cannon locked, but do not fire until I give the command.
Cliffjumper, I want you ready, but for the love of Primus if you take a shot before I say so, I will personally have you cleaning the exhaust shafts.
Autobots, take your battle stations!

Starscream finally got a reply and it was about what he expected. He responded.

"Megatron and his forces are on their way to attack this city -- what no one is suppose to know about Iacon?" He chuckled a bit. "Think again -- He is on his way as I speak -- as I was kept waiting, he is now closer. I do not do this out of the goodness of my energon pump, Autobots, but more personal reasons. Now if you will kindly unlock your weapons from me, I will be on my way..."

But Starscream planned on staying nearby. He wanted to watch and see the Autobots hand Megatron his proverbial aft back to him on a platter and in the process be shown just how 'well' his lieutenants really were. And all without getting his hands dirty with it...

GB and the throtlebots have simicircled the main entrance waiting for action.

Arcee, Cambreaker we volenteer for the Battle party since we are already here locked and loaded.

GB looks to the Throtlebots and get nods of head from all but Rollbar who is still monitoring scaners.

Hey Guys seems like Screamer is waiting for his cue to leave since he dilivered his message Rolbar reports. Also as far as passive scans go not Decepticon activity around the area.

Kup reconfigures scanners so that they'll automaticly guide the blaster turrets...

on the comm;

"Cambreaker for primus sakes I hope that you're out there with CJ? , i'll keep you posted for incoming, keep your screen open for tactic updates.."

Kup turns to Rodimus

"Parameters set Lad, we're ready for some beefed up tailgate ratling..."

Rodimus, A trap. We need to set a trap. Iacon's jaws await. We could lead them in to smash against the main bridge and gate... Where we have the brunt of our forces waiting. To seal the deal, we could have an attack force go out with the bait, and bulldoze them right into the defenses... We could even drop the drawbridge and drop them... and some explosives... into the trench. I'll volunteer to lead the assault force in and bait the con's back personally.

Let's kick some Decepticreep ass. If what Screamer says is true, and the Decepticons ARE coming for Iacon, then this is gonna be one hell of a fight. I still need some time to recharge all of my systems, but as soon as I'm ready I'll holler.

Quicksilver keeps a close watch on Starscream as she waits for a response from Cambreaker or Rodimus.

Starscream, you are free to leave the area, but hear this, we won't be as reserved with our weapons if you return here again.

Rodimus turns to his troops

Our scanners show no Decepticon activity, but I don't want to take any chances. Cambreaker, form your team for the main attack. I will lead the bait myself, we'll only have a small unit, I want volunteers for that mission.

"Rodimus, I'm hurt..." Starscream replied in his infamously sweet mocking hurt tone. "..that you would threaten me like this -- I was merely trying to help.."

Halfway around on his last circle pass he suddenly kicked in his afterburners and displayed exactly why he was regarded as the fastest jet on the planet. He was gone that fast but not from the area.

Starscream found a spot nearby but not close enough to give the Autobots the impression he was up to something against them, transformed and took a spot hidden from view. Then he removed his left arm laser and held is like a rifle and waited. He was an impatient mech but he could also wait when needed and thats exactly what he would do now. He also periodically scanned the area on the chance that Megatron might bring the attack from another direction. One could never be too prepared after all.

I've got to object, Rodimus. It's a little tactically unsound to use our commanding officer as a bait that might wind up pinned on the drawbridge. Besides, the 'cons know you're not careless. I'm hoping to play that card...The 'cons don't know me yet. As for a strike force, as I said... They'd leave with me, then follow me... and the deceps... right to our gates. For the strike group, I want some 'bots who can get out of trouble if things go south...Blurr, Quicksilver, Blackjack...wherever the hell he is, and Arcee would be ideal. The rest of you can back me up from here, and man the defenses. We'll need plenty of staff to handle anti-aircraft and defensive artillery and guns. Autoturrets only go so far, you know.

Cliffjumper walks in as Cambreaker is giving his thoughts on the matters. He listens as he runs through the plan till his name is not mentioned in the attack squad.

What am I gonna do just stay here and twiddle my thumbs while you guys go out and have all the fun... I dont think so!

Actually Cliffjumper... We could use your help too. You're going to have to withhold your trigger finger until the time is right... If you spoil the plan, I will have to personally chuck you.
I'm serious about this... this is our chance to cripple the Decepticon offensive ability. I would buy us a serious planetary upper hand...

Ah, Quicksilver. I was hoping you could help out. I want to personally bait a 'con attack force into our defenses, and have a strike force follow them and crush them against our walls.
Cambreaker opens his comm.
*Blackjack, where in the pit are you? We need you back at base if you're not currently engaged.*
He looks back to Quicksilver.
If you're in for my strike force, we leave as soon as Rodimus gives us the okay.
He looks to Rodimus for approval.

He turns to the others.
Alright. Arcee, Blurr, Cliffjumper, Quicksilver: you're with me for now. We'll head out as soon as we hear from Blackjack. We'll deploy through the clear zone, Kup will guide us by radio, and station near the bar. I'll continue past to wherever the Decepticon troop concentration is, and get their attention, get as many as I can to follow me. Once I'm heading back to here, I'll tightbeam Arcee to get ready. Arcee, follow a half-klik behind the 'cons when we get past the bar. Try and keep unnoticed until we're close to Iacon....
He continues explaining the plan...
