They are prone to worth more, however:
-Differences rarely are spot on. A rub sign can be reasigned or removed, remember reprolabels.
-Some figures are more valuable, but not all of them. Maybe the most remarkable is Prime, which has a different trailer and accesories. But others, like Soundwave, Sideswipe, for example... Just may look to some like they are missing the rubsign.
So, the rule of thumb, is to never pay more than what you would for a so-called "pre-rubsign" figure, as many sellers just don't know the differences, and sometimes they won't be major to worth the shot. Definetely take chances on a pre-rub Prime, or Jazz, but take the time to know the wanted item better.
