Really that kind of thing is up to the owner. I can't speak for you, Ratchet, but I really don't think that if I found a real G-1 MISB Hound, Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, Mirage, Jazz etc. that I would open it. That'd kind of be like drawing a moustache on the Mona Lisa to me.

It'd be funny but completely ruin her value! :wink:

My favorite kind of G-1 Transformer are the ones with the styro trays! :D You can open them, play and if you're careful still have a really good condition Transformer that keeps its value.

As far as the newer stuff goes....

I have a lot of the movie toys and I haven't even opened them because I know as soon as I do I'll just wind up giving them away like I did my classics collection. The only toys I open are the ones I can re-seal like the Classics Jetfire or my "box" style Alternators.

Besides....... Hasbro and other toy companies spend a lot of research and development cash coming up with their package art/form as much as the toy itself. I like my toys MISB for the aesthetic look. I decorate with my MISB Transformers and other genre 80's toys because it really is art and some of it is quite breathtakingly beautiful.

But you know...I'm kinda' weird and all of this is merely one opinion.

The most i MUST open because i want transform in Robot-Mode,otherwise i let it closed.
