Seeing no one injured, Cambreaker, Dinobot, Rattrap, and Minerva load up the brestforce onto Cambreaker's truck bed and he hauls them in to a stasis-locking prison chamber. He stands in front of the cell leaning on his axe, looking in at the locked 'cons, and sighs heavily, before turning to Minerva with a tired smile. There being no major injuries, she accompanies him as he stops in by Sideways' workshop.

Good thinking Sideways, with that energon field. You really shined but played on the team out there. I really appreciate that in a 'bot. Let me know if you have any more problems with the Unicron energies, or need any tools. I'll make sure you get both should you need them.

Leaving Sideways to developing his mounted version of the field generator, he heads to the command and battle center. He and Minerva see Kup, Cliffy, Hound, and Springer all tipping back an energon. He thanks them all for their courage and good shooting, and pays for their next round. He heads to the barracks and repair drone facilities and assigns some drones and 'bots to oversee them to repairing the breaches in the walls, underground reactor chamber, and to get the old ground-penetrating radar working again to prevent another such surprise. He stops off at quarters to rest his legs on the way to Rodimus' chambers, leaving the door open to any who need him and to keep an eye on who comes and goes. He sees Rattrap and Dinobot walking down the hall together, bickering. He calls them in.

My Maximal friends! Come and have an energon, I'd like a word with you!

He reaches across the little table that he and Minerva occupy with his axehandle, pushing out chairs for the two honorary 'bots, and pours them each a tall cool one.

[Rattrap]

Rattrap slumps down into one of the chairs and scoops up his glass of Energon.

OOC: Firehawk, didn't i just read you were back at Kaon with the other decepticons? Also, I doubt that even a stealth 'con could get into iacon, much less know where in the massive city these cells are.

First off, I wanted you both to the team, your skills are quite spectacular. I have never seen such a skilled hand-to had combatant, nor such a quick witted demolitions expert. What I'd like to know, is if either of you picked up any comms or clues at the battlefield's edge where you were fighting, as to why Deszaras reatreated in such a hurry, leaving one of his most powerful warriors behind. I imagine interrogating Leozack won't give us much, but there has to be some other reason he left after his bomb went off in an unused power core and his warriors were not trapped at the time.

Rattrap shrugs.

I ran into a horde of bug-bots on my way to Deszaras. By the time I escaped Deszaras was gone.

As I was engaged in battle with this so called Deszaras, I heard some kind of radio chatter coming from him, but it was very muffled, and I was attacking as well, so I could not make it out. However, he was far enough out of range from your sensors to be detected there. I could smell his mech fluid turning, thats how I was able to find him. He would have blasted several of you had I not attacked. Why he left his comrades though, remains a mystery.

Anyways, lets enjoy some energon. I know several of us could use it. And good job on the demolitions cheese lips, you nailed those bugs.

[Sideways]

Sideways finishes up his work on the portable containment device. He installs a small copy inside his chassis for use on the field. He opens up a comms link and addresses Cambreaker.

Cambreaker, It's Sideways. Can you come down to my lab for a second? There's something I need to show you.

Indeed we do, Dinobot. I'm glad you've both proved such valuable assets to our team, and I'll be grateful for all your time here with us.

Cambreaker takes another sip off his energon and hears the comm from Sideways.

I'll be down in a breem, Sideways. I've got to catch Rodimus and talk to him.

CJ finishes his energon and looks around feeling a bit bored already

Cambreaker catches Cliffy's question on the comm.

Cliffjumper, take Elita-1 and Kup if they're around here, and prime and load all the defensive weapons. I imagine that the sudden 'con retreat is just the calm before the storm, and we've got to be ready. I'll let you know what's going on after I talk to Rodimus Prime. Personally, I'd like to raid Tagon again and see if we can't get some heavy artillery.

Well, I'm glad spirits are so high around here. I hope Rodimus is in a good mood when he passes by on the way to his office... I imagine he's almost done with his tour of our new defenses.

...Being from the future, I don't suppose either of you have seen a nice big Autobot artillery piece, have you?

Doublecross comes out from under the table he had taken cover under when the shelling had started.

Doublecross selects a door at random and finds himself near to where Cambreaker is talking with the two strange mechs. He catches the part about raiding Tagon. he leans round the corner so that both of his heads can see who is being spoken to.

Nope, haven't seen any autobot artillery around. Did see the decepticon nemesis once, but thats a whole other story for another time.

Elsewhere within Iacon's walls, Rodimus and Arcee inspect some of the new defenses and attempt to bring themselves up to speed on various other changes which have taken place since their absence.
