Viral video from about ten years ago made most popular by a hacker that took over MSNBC.com, showing nothing but this vid when a link was clicked.

And, just to beat the dead horse, the Freddie Mercury/Queen tribute version (This one is only funny if you have watched the others, and read the full explination following the link):

It is based on a Sega Genesis game named Zero Wing. The game is your standard side scrolling spaceship firing at the bad guys. What made it such a cult favorite is that the translation from Korean to English was so incredibly poor, that it was almost unable to be deciphered.

After the first video took off, gamerz everywhere threw out the phrase as a cheer to prove their uberocity. So, the phrase "All your base are belong to us!" may very well have been something you saw in Ultima Online, or Starcraft, or countless other games.

I may have stepped down from the position of Moderator General, but my knowledge of useless pop culture trivia is still certainly venerable! :P

I swear that the end of the road I drove into the sign was stolen! I had to drive to the other end of the road to Old 421 and pray that that sign was still there. :shock: :roll:

I guess that the sign that was gone is hanging in some kid's room now.
