Whats with all the masks on the BW figures? I don't recall them in the show. And they almost always cannot be moved out of the way completely in robot mode.

Its just some stupid gimick its acually called the "Mutant head/face".

Im pretty sure you can remove most of them I think they just pop off.

They were supposed to be in the show, but never were. It's like Optimus Prime's faceplate in the Movieverse and Animated.

The early toys were developed before the animated series, the masks are a gimmick that was abandoned during pre-production.

If you have the BW DVD's there are some very early character models with the masks and such on them. (and are a lot more toy accurate)

actually some of them are in the show waspinator used (the real one looks more like a more crowded cheetor.Tarantulas used his, his real one is the same Blackarachnia they did this for some varaity to the redcos that they had on the show
