G1 Lite Brite Insert Set

Post by theantiquetiger1 »

I haven't been on the boards in a long time.

I recently came across a 1985 G1 Lite Brite set. I cannot find anything on them. How rare is this set?

I dont think I have ever run across anything like that, and I have some hard to find stuff. I would say its pretty valuable, especially to collectors like myself. I would love to find one of those!

I used to have one of these ages and ages ago. If it is the one I think of they were pretty popular but with all lite brite things using them was the same as destroying them.

So, while bored at work I did some hunting around and discovered they still make Transformer Lite-Brite refills :)

I might have to get my son some of these as his birthday is coming up soon.

If you end up getting those, please let me know if they're copies of the vintage lite brite images, or of a more recent release. Or a breakdown if they're a mixture.

I might *finally* have a use for the 60ish Lite Brites I've amassed over the last few years...

What?
Whaaaaat?

Okay, if you insist on knowing why I gathered 60ish Lite Brites, it's because I had this half-brained idea for an art installation piece based on the Kama Sutra.

Now stop looking at me like that!

LOL I am sure the mental image in my head is much more amusing/wrong than it would have been in reality.

I am imagining a room full of 6-8 year olds and one of them piping up, "This doesn't look anything like an Emu."

Ok, stop looking at ME like that.

BACK ON TOPIC: His B-day is in June so I will let ya know then.
