Shockwave repair

I had a post awhile documenting my need for an intact gun tip for shockwave. I finally ended up getting one around a month ago and yesterday started the task of replacing my broken one with the new one.

On closer inspection, the little light bulb and wires seem to go around the screw hole in the clear laser portion. So does this mean I cannot fix my broken one? Anyone repair the gun tip?

the wires that are in your way can be cut loose at the circuit board pulled back out of the way and then soldered back in place when you are done I did this exact job on tuesday nite and it still works fine

but if you are just repacing the laser tip just take that screw out and the tip splits in half the wires are no problem then and the circuit board for that wire is in the tail flap if you need the get the wire out

So the actually laser portion with the tip split in two? It looks solid to me.

take the screws out of his fore arm first I think there are two of them maybe three split the fore arm this will show you the laser tip with just the wire coming out of it then take the single screw out of the laser tip it will split too you may have to pull on it a little but it will pull apart

I had to go look at my shock wave parts to make sure you still have to split the fore arm two screws them the one screw out of the laser tip then get ahold of the open end of the laser tip the side inside the fore arm and pull it apart just enough to put the wires on the same side of the screw hole then pull the wire and bulb out dont pull it to far apart because you are right the very tip is one piece I dont know why they put those wires like that in the first place my tip has a small crack you almst cant see it right behind the tip so it will separate dont know if yours is like this too but be careful

I am little hesitant to try to pry the laser portion open. I have a bad feeling that I will break the tip again. Anybody else have any experience with this type of repair?

lmao! I'm lucky enough to have his laser tip intact with no damage...only problem I have is the battery cover has a broken clip so it's mostly there as a "filler" until I'm lucky enough to find an undamaged one at a....*cough*...reasonable price
