ratatouie and Evan Almighty

OK the rat movie was cute but good thing we were in the drive in and when it got boring we could watch transformers on the other screen. Seriously it is cute kids movie... it passed the time somewhat painlessly but it was not the "enjoyable type". I don't think this would be a movie to go see without kids. It doesn't have the underlying adult jokes that other "kids movies" have but it does have an ounce of charm to it. I would say take the kids to it.

Evan almighty... i would have preferred to hear nails down a chalkboard with my 4 kids screaming for 2 hours than to sit through that crap again. OMG it was no where nearly as funny as bruce almighty (although that was stupid funny). Really don't even pay to rent it... they should pay us to watch it. RUN-run away!!!! cover your eyes!!!!
no is a complete sentence

Die Hard 4.0

given I'm a Bruce Willis fan I've seen almost every movie starring him,
so as you know he always has a good cop/bad cop thing going on,
now brucie here got a lot older between the last flicks he starred in but nonetheless he is Jhon McLane onesmore,

I really enjoyed the movie ,it fulfilled all my expectation, only some off the action scenes where a bit over the top to be apealling to the audience i guess, also the story was a bit shallow but what else would we get on a high speed octane action/explosion flick

the story is really simple to tell in one line of text, making it a die hard movie; it's just terrorist/former agent/fallen important person will blow up the world/rob a bank/screw the gouverment , and good ol' Brucie has to save the day,

now I know people will ask themselves why the main character keeps going on in full patriotism ,when a couple of lines earlyer he thinks his live is down the drain, really beats me. Also that "bad" guy isn't pictured super evil but for the unrights he had to suffer and he only wants to make some buck out of it for recouvering his smached by gouverment life ,he gets the super evil number1 terrorist threathment , a bit sad in my opinion

for the rest i did enjoy the film (yes i enjoyed it mindlessly) there where a load of funny oneliners and at some points the stunts where breathtaking, you really get the "Auwtch that's gotta hurt" (patent pending) feeling,
so for conclusion it was 5$ well spent

now i'm awiating for transformers to hit a cinema nearby ,witch of course takes till 25e of july ,lucky shot with an unlucky maybe i can get some $ off for my birthday

now i really sound like magnus

grtz

So I've seen six movies this summer and I know they've probably all been done but I want to review the five that aren't Transformers with my opinions.

First there was Spiderman 3, which had one very awesome, very amazing thing going for it. One of my favorite villains of all time. And at this point everyone's thinking, oh he likes Venom like everyone else. WRONG. I love the Sandman. He has always been one of my favs and the movie made me like him even more. The problem is I actually wanted to badguys to beat the crap out of Spiderman for how much of a jerk he was being to everyone (although I know it was plot). I give the movie a 9 out of 10.

Then I went to Pirates 3. Two words Jack Sparrow. That's all you need to watch for. I guess if the movie had a plot you could pay attention to that too, but wait it's got ten plots and none of them ever get resolved. Jack was awesome, Davy Jones was awesome, that's all there is. The rest is just cheap plot device after plot device and a LOT of backstabbing. Not fun at all. Bring back the Kraken and it would have been a good movie. I give it a 3 out of 10.

Shrek the 3rd was my 3rd movie of the summer and I really enjoyed it. It really lived up to the level of humor set by the first two. They haven't even exhausted the mythological/fairy tale stuff yet either. And I'm glad they made Prince Charming the villain, I like him. The evil tree-men were a bonus too and Captain Hook. I have a thing for villains if you haven't noticed. I give the movie an 8.5 out of 10.

I agree with Kup about Live Free or Die Hard except that the henchmen that Bruce has to fight throughout the movie are extremely unrealistic. It made the movie feel like a James Bond film (not complaining because I love those). But when you have a guy that could out acrobat Spiderman, that's a problem. The rest of the movie was awesome and Bruce proves once again that he is a total badass. I give it 9 out of 10.

Transformers get 10 out of 10. Nuff said.

Then finally I went to Harry Potter 5. I never read the books up to this point so I had no expectations coming in. In my opinion it wasn't as good at the fourth movie, but it was still awesome. The big fight at the end was really a letdown because it didn't feel epic enough. But they brought back all of my favorite characters and gave them more screentime, that's always a plus. A 7 out of 10.

Eh, the big fight wasn't really supposed to be epic, it was just supposed to be "How do we get out of here alive?" I can understand how the movie did not communicate that as well as it should have, though.

There are a couple moments (I am sure that you can figure them out) in that fight that were a lot better done than in the book, though. In the book, it left me with a, "Huh? What just happened?" (Even after my third time reading the book) feeling, whereas the movie really played them out well.

I'm surprised to hear you were bored by Ratatouille. Personally I really enjoyed it. For me, it didn't need any "adult jokes," because it's not really that type of movie--it's not like Shrek or anything. I thought it was smartly written, and funny in the right places. Can't wait for the DVD. :D

Not a review - a question - how many of you are going to be watching & reviewing the Simpsons movie? I know I'm probably the only non-Simpsons maniac here...

The only problem over her with the simpons movie here in the Uk is the following release schedule:

27th july 2007:
new movies opening in Uk
Simpsons movie
Transformers.

now who delayed the relaese of TF in the Uk so that it had to compete with the simpsons? Maybe i should scramble his broadband connection.

I'm with you on this one Delita. Simpsons are of little interest or comic value to me. Sorry, guys.

I just saw The Simpsons today, took my nephew this afternoon. I loved it. I won't go into detail, suffice it to say I'm a huge Simpsons fan and it didn't disappoint. And if you do go see it, make sure you stay through the credits.

I've seen the simpsons movie last night , and Commander you'll see if you're gonna see it  , but the credits are h3ll long,

well i like the simpsons, I've seen many eps of it , the movie isn't bad either it was quite enjoyable ,but for me it looked like an improved animation and longer TV episode,

but simpson wise, it uses many stuff from early 90's flicks, and the references for little details are funny, there is some emotional stuff thrown in for plot witch personally caught me up

I highly recomend it if you're a die hard fan, if you're the average cartoon watcher like me, you'll just find it a stretched out episode with better animation,

I can rant a bit on it on the characters but that'll a lot of spoilers

grtz

They actually addressed that at the start of the movie, which I thought was one of the funniest jokes they did. There's loads I could say about it, but again, will keep shut for spoilers.
