Cambreaker makes way for his office, the whole time the confrontation with Blackjack and Arcee on his mind. He hopes he's made the right decision for Blackjack's sake. If something went wrong though, he had full confidence that Blackjack, if any, could make it out unscathed. Cambreaker sunk deeper into his myriad thoughts and began to feel the pressures of keeping security tight until the completion of Paranoia, without losing his status as a respected friend and leader, and being viewed as a dictator and a jerk.
Arriving in the office, he plops down in his desk chair and tries to clear his mind.
Shortly after, Minerva arrives at the commanders chambers. She notifies Cambreaker of her arrival and then enters. She finds him by his desk, seemingly troubled by something.
Cambreaker?
Ah! Minerva, my dear. Come and sit, if you have the time.
Minerva takes a seat next to him at the planning table.
So, I've let Blackjack take Arcee out on a mission with him...
That was not what Minerva expected to hear, not after Arcee’s betrayal. She is surprised, and turns to look questioningly at Cambreaker before speaking.
You let Blackjack take Arcee out on a mission? Why...? what...? ...I think you might have to explain this to me.
Cambreaker sighs heavily.
I stopped by to check on her on my way through, and found Blackjack talking to her. He'd apparently taken my scouting mission to a new level, something about finding out how she got turned into a Decepticon, and helping her earn back her name. As I see it, I think he would have eventually taken her with or without my orders, so I may as well be able to hear openly about the result of the mission.
Cambreaker sees the somewhat confused emotions on Minerva's face, who's not sure how to feel about this yet.
Besides. If the operation goes south, I have all faith he, if anyone, can get out of a pinch..... I don't know. Do you think I did the wrong thing?
Minerva sees the reason with Cambreakers idea, but she's not sure what to feel about it. She thinks about what he said for a moment, then looks up and sees him watching her, waiting for an answer.
No I don't think you did the wrong thing she says calmly. I think you made the right decision.
Cambreaker meets her eyes with a certain sadness in his. He wants so badly to be wrong about Arcee, but he risks so much if he was initially right.
They're off scouting for Decepticon outposts, and they're planning on disabling them if possible. I've got Dinobot and the Crusaders standing by as cavalry, and I've ordered Kup to track their progress with the 'Spite and... intervene if need be. I just... I don't know. I appreciate your faith in my judgement... But you don't have to do it if you don't believe in the decision, or don't agree with me.
Meeting Cambreakers eyes, Minerva can't help but see the sadness in them. She takes his much bigger hand in hers and squeezes it lightly.
As you know I've had strong feelings for Arcee and what she and Rodimus has done, but even so I still trust your judgement. She pauses momentarily and lowers her head before continuing,
Maybe Blackjack and Arcee will find out the reason to why she acted the way she did. …and like you said; Blackjack knows how to take care of himself.
Minervas strong feelings for what Arcee had done had bordered on hate, but the more she listened to Cambreaker the less she could hate her. The fact that she had harboured feelings like that for Arcee made her now feel ashamed of herself. Cambreaker watched the way she averted her eyes suddenly, as though she doubted what she said.
Is something wrong? What's the matter?
Startled that Cambreaker noticed her shame, Minerva composes herself.
No, no, it's okay. she replies almost apologetically.
I... I'm just not sure how to feel about Arcee anymore, even though she and Rodimus caused us so much pain. I want to believe in her.
I know. I do too. And Blackjack already does believe in her…

This was their mighty leader, Grimlock, who they'd begged and pleaded for for what seemed to be vorns on the long journey through space. Cambreaker is a bit frustrated with this intrusion, somehow.
Ugh! You dinobots never could keep your heads when there's something to attack. You're always running off ahead of the group, and head straight into Decepticon traps... One day I'll teach you to use your heads! When Dinobots can work WITH the rest of the Autobots instead of under their own parameters, those will be great and heady days.
Minerva stands back, surprised at Cambreaker's outburst. He looks to Sideways.

Minerva looks at Cambreaker, surprised by his outburst. The interruption had been sudden and there hadn’t even been a request to enter before they both came charging in, but that was quite unlike Cambreaker.
…”heads could roll”?, she thinks to herself and raises an eyebrow.
As he doesn’t seem to take note of her reaction, she gets up to stand beside him. She puts a hand on his arm for a moment, as a calming gesture, while turning her attention to the newly arrived Autobots.
She is glad to see that Sideways seems to have recovered just fine after the incident, but as she turns to Grimlock she is shocked to see how beat up she really looks. The severed head didn’t really make things look much better...
Grimlock, my name is Minerva. I’m the medic around here and I think I can help you.
Minerva walks up to the two Autobots before she continues:
Cambreaker is right though, we should head to the medbay, preferably as soon as possible. She looks at the dinobots neck, where various energon-splattered wires and part of the spinal column is sticking out.

She looks to Cambreaker, and notices that he still looks a bit upset. She shoots him a smile, but realizes that it probably came out more concerned than she’d meant it to. Slightly annoyed with herself, she shakes her head and then addresses the others:
Okay, let’s go then. No point in wasting any time. Also, I’d like to have a word with you later, Sideways.

Sideways follows Minerva and Grimlock out of Iacon and back to the medbay. When they arrive, Sideways diverts his attention from the group and makes his way to a storage room filled with electronics equipment. He enters the room and scans it visually, locating what he's looking for: An outdated mainframe computer. He walks up to it and his right arm/hand transform into a tool, which allows Sideways to pick up items and hover them in front of him. He picks up the mainframe and exits the room, putting it down in the main hallway.

One down, eh? I've put together that list of where I want them installed, take your time... If I run across anymore clusters, I'll drop them off at your lab. I'm glad you're doing this... I simply haven't the knowledge. I'm headed to Tagon to check up on them. Anything you need?

Nevertheless, Grimlock seems to be satisfied with the solution and it could work, Minerva realizes. Shortly thereafter Cambreaker leaves the room and Minerva gets to work.

Grimlock doesn’t reply, which Minerva takes as her cue to get started. Hooking her up to the medical equipment was necessary, to be able to read her status while performing the surgery.
You’re going to be awake during the operation, but I’m disconnecting the pain sensors so that you won’t feel a thing. It’s very important that you let me know if feel uncomfortable during the procedure, ok?
Grimlock assures her that she’ll let her know, if that were to happen.

Once there, she digs under her recharge booth (bed) and pulls out a shoeboxed-sized metal crate. Inside she rifles through various electronics and valuables until she comes across a small, silver pendant on a chain with a green stone in the middle of it.*
"Ah Jazz...I really wish you were here now..."
*Swift sighs as she puts the necklace on and proceeds out of the room and goes to rejoin Cambreaker.*
"So Camera-Breaker, ready to go soon?"

As Grimlock tries to help Minerva, she nearly severs the newly connected cables. Minerva is startled and her spark makes an unpleasant jump in her chest compartment.
Geez Grimlock!, she exclaims, slightly shaken by the dinobots sudden action. Composing herself she continues:
I really appreciate you trying to help me, but right now I just want you to sit still and not move.
Grimlock removes her hands, obviously a bit disappointed and hurt. Minerva couldn’t tell for sure though, since the head was still not completely attached.
Minerva turns the head right again and continues her work, feeling slightly annoyed with herself for her outburst.
Her thoughts wander to Ratchet and his at times very bad temper. Even though she sometimes wished he was around (he was after all an extremely skilled medic), she was glad that he wasn’t the one working on Grimlock today. With Ratchet in mind, she decides that her outburst was probably nothing to feel bad about.

Grimlock discovers that she can see, but manages to refrain from expressing her excitement, for which Minerva is grateful.
