Definitely NOT MISB as it was pictured as open. The box had all its innards though, and Prowl was apparently excellent.

But still... that's a rediculous price! :P

Someone's either was very keen on Prowl or they woke up today with a bad headache and a hazy memory of drunken ebay-bidding! :P

Sometimes you encounter a "biddiot" on eBay... Definetely Prowl is not that expensive anymore.

I'm looking to buy the 3-piece Team Bullet Train / Railracer combiner.
What would be a fair price for the set? The set I'm looking at is loose, complete and in excellent condition, or so the seller says.

Per the last 90 days of Evil-Bay:

Under $40 USD. Any more than that, and you might as well be buying MIB.

Thanks Wheezel,
this seller wanted USD90...
On evilbay there's a 3 box set for USD195
and a single uncomplete(?), loose Rapid Run for BIN USD25.

I guess you saved me, thanks!

Also, is there only one release of Railracer? I've seen two different boxes for it and don't want to get a bad one :P

I'm not sure, but they did reissue alot of the TF'ers during the Victory/post-Victory era,

Ok, let me try to sort this out for you:

1) I assumed you were talking about the R.I.D. version of Rail Racer. From your comments, and seeing what's available on Evil Bay, I still assume that to be correct.

2) There IS an older G1 Japanese "Rail Racer" (actually named "Raiden"), which you can expect to pay significantly more for.

3) There is also a KOREAN Takara (Sonokong) giftset version that you can buy in multiple places for $50 USD + Shipping (watch out on that shipping from Hong Kong!). I don't know if there are quality differences, versus the US release.

4) Oh yeah, and there's a tiny version, I think part of the Universe line, with 6 trains in the set that's like $25.

Anyhow, #1 doesn't come up for auction terribly often, but when it does, expect to pay about what I mentioned in the first post regarding Rail Racer. (And be sure you're looking for RailRacer AND Rail Racer, as some use a space, and some don't).

Hope that helps!

Also know as Raiden. Part of the TF headmasters line expect to pay $800+ for a complete one of them though. [a six piece train combiner]

From what I know the quality is identical to the normal releases.

Sixtrain is that release. Theres two versions and both are takara only releases.

if you are talking about rail racer RID. then there are two releases i know of. A three pack japanese release [all three trains in one box] and the hasbro ones which were individually packaged. There is no difference beyond the boxes with these versions.

The japanese versions are painted a tad bit different.

For the record, my edit to add Raiden's name came *before* your post (most likely whilst you were typing out your reply), Desz ;).

Thanks so much guys, it sure is handy to be able to pick your brains for knowledge! :D
Seems to me there's two boed versions from Takara, probably an original one as well as a korean Takara version. I believe they're identical though.
I've read that the Takara versions had paint issues though, here's hoping I get a decent one!

How much should I pay for a G1 Pointblank and Talon? No accessories. Not sure about their condition, but I'm guessing that they have worn stickers for starters.

For Pointblank I would go around $40-$45 for him. Talon, $10-$15 at most.
