collection as of 2008
Hey guys, as I'm an active G1 collector I take photos of my collection each year as it grows. I've not counted them recently, and I've obviously obtained more since this last photo was taken but I know I'm missing 100 Autobots and 89 Decepticons. I'm talking G1 only, not including Action Masters and TM, HM and PM's are counted as one figure and gestalts are not counted except for their individual bots.

I should be doing my 09 photo shoot soon and will post then. I also have a Word document that I used to catalogue my collection, one for Autobots and one for Decepticons. If I can find a way to post it (each is over 500MB) I'll post that too. Thanks for looking

Thanks!!!
Thanks for the kind comments.
@Dinobot - I had actually taken the photo of the Activity Center at a different time as it was too big to put on the platform that I had taken the original set up on.
@Banzai-Tron - Definitely some Photoshop going on here. The background is from a screen cap of Episode One, the text is pure Photoshop and the ground is an image and forced to perspective the image of the collection itself has a slight drop shadow and some burning on it to provide the shadows. ;-)
@ Jose - Nice collection there yourself. When I first made this pic last year it was infact my Wallpaper. When I do the 2009 shot that will probably be my desktop then... hahaha Last year, I formatted the picture to fit my new widescreen monitor. ;-)
@Minerva - thank you for the Welcome.
As an update note, I actually got my first Action Master today. Treadshot and Catgut - sorry it wasn't Banzai-Tron. No weapon with him but that's why we have Transformerland - I bought the weapon here so when that arrives Treadshot will be complete. YAY. I also got my first near complete Sky Lynx today too - missing that neck plating piece. So, you'll be seeing them plus more in this years photo. I'm going to also try to include the boxed guys this year.
Thanks again gang!! Talk to you more soon.

@ Rumble - Hey Rumble! Love that your Avatar is red. As it should be! ;-)
@ Ramjet - Did you paint your avatar yourself? Really sweet job on it.
@ Hound - I should have an 09 update image for your desktop within the coming weeks. It's very flattering that you have used it. Thank you.
@ Time Traveller - I too spell it with two l's instead of one - hahaha I've been reading other posts...
@ Trailbreaker - Thank you for the compliments.
Everyone here is very welcoming and it's appreciated. I thought I'd show you the original photo that was taken to make up the main collection part of the first image that I posted. I don't really know of any other way to make the boxes fit in the image - by fit I mean to look appropriate. To support the foundation, which is the trains play mat, I had put six large comic book boxes, Forttress Maximus Box, Scorponok and Tripticon boxes stacked - and not visible unfortunately, a Millenium Falcon box - which can barely be seen behind the makeshift prime box and some foam core boards and I was still running out of room hahaha... When I find it, I'll show you guys my first collection shot that I took as a kid in the late 80's - some of those original figures have been replaced since then as little brother got into them while I was away at college. But that's a story for another time... If you've made it this far, thanks for reading... I tend to get long winded when I get excited and you've all made me feel very comfortable and welcome!!
Thanks ;-)
