So the knock offs are more desirable than the real thing.

Would that really be considered a KO? Hasbro/Takara never made that figure. Unless you consider all things that Transform that are not made by Hasbro/Takara to be a KO.

Ramjet has coined the term 'Compeating Lines (CL)' for other transforming lines using original moulds.

However I would say it is a KO, as Four Star copied Hasbro's mould and retooled it to make their product.

Well he did call it a four star bombshell KO.

Technically though aren't nearly all G1 figures diaclone/microman KO's?

I would say it's an extensively retooled knock-off, as it shares the same basic torso and transformation but with some significantly redesigned parts.

Not really as they were officialy liscensed from Takara when released as Transformers. Just paying to use the old moulds rather then stealing.

{ or Hasbro started young with repaints then as well. if there not KO's then they are repaints.}

I have a soft spot for crazy KO's Here is my first one bought here in Italy.
Its a goofy version of OP

here he is in the package blister. yes his head is balck.

he came on the card in the box

KO left / G2 Prime on the right for size comparison

my camera is not so good in the dark so psp helped light the way. Wife was resting.

final different angle.

All the weapons seen in pic 1 are black. The orange thing is a "mini-con" KO. its a dump truck.

Also They had crazy colored G1 Onslaught KOs. one bright green the other yellow. I had to pick only one. One KO power master OP, real goofy looking, normal colors though. Two combiner bots. I can't tell the center bot in either but the arms and legs were sweet KOs. one had small Cybertron Starscream as legs. Sunstorm colors(L) leg, and a red one(r) leg. While the arms were both different odd colored Vector Primes.
The other combiner had Cybertron hot shot's for arms I can't remember the colors. With small Cybertorn OP's for legs/feet. Don't worry I take pice and post them when I buy them.

Computron That KO is pretty cool. I wish more of those would show up here in the States at the dollar stores. My brother-in-law sends me KO's from China from time to time.

I purchased the first two waves of deluxe animated toys and the first three of voyager animated toys.

The quality control on this batch is terrible, had the Starscream issue already and today had a Lockdown with 3 limbs too lose to stay attached and a hand that shattered. Luckily the second one i got (after returning the first) was excellent.
