I watched Blades of Glory last night, because a few people I know said it was hilarious. It had some funny parts, sure, but it kind of let me down--I think they hyped it up way too much, so I was expecting a lot more. Not as hysterical as I'd hoped. :?

LOL ... I'm not saying it wasn't FUNNY, I just mean it wasn't what I expected! Though that part where Chaz was practicing their secret move and the floor was just littered with mannequin heads had me dying...

So I know this a rather old movie and it's anime, but I watched Akira this morning and I'm glad I did.

Aside from being somewhat of a mind trip, the movie is excellently done. Unlike some other anime from its time period, it has a compelling plot, very likable characters (even the antagonists), and was just generally interesting. If you like anime, I would highly suggest Akira. It's also probably one of the best looks at future Earth I've ever seen.

I watched No Reservations (Catherine Zeta-Jones, Aaron Eckhart) the other night, and it was horrible ... in the sense that I was bawling through most of it. I don't know how I actually stuck through the entire thing--it's so sad. All the trailers pegged it as some romantic comedy, but it's far from it. Never watching that again.

Testament, Sister!

I know! And when we saw the trailer for it in Transformers Wes leaned over and said "And Look, Nikki, there's fire and she makes steak like you like it! Even you can watch that!"

I thought it was going to be a fun little How I made a grump fall in love with me kind of movie.

When we went to go see it in the theatre....... I sat and looked at the walls, ceiling, the floor...pinched myself....I did everything I possibly to keep from crying. Wes was about in the same shape with crossed arms, he was so upset he had even stopped eating!

I suggested we could leave.... but Combs' never walk away from over a $5.00 investment and we were hemmed in too... so we watched until the whole pathetic hoedown was over.

After we left the movie I told another woman who was leaving the same viewing room we were in if we wanted to be depressed we would have stayed at home!

Stay away from Bridge To Terebithia too. Good Lord what a sad hopeless desolate feeling I had left after that one..... even after they tried to put an upbeat swing on it!
