GROWL
Primary Function:FRONT-LINE ASSAULT
Motto:"If it moves, crush it!"
BIO
Growl is considered dim and simplistic, but most would never say so within earshot of him. He's a classic bully who got his start terrorizing Transformers in Cybertron's slums. When one of his backstreet assaults had him faced with the option of hard time or military service, Growl opted to go military and never looked back.Having found a venue where his brand of brutality is not only accepted but encouraged, Growl has become even more of a vicious fighter. Although he sometimes entertains thoughts of replacing Bombshock as leader, Growl only does so because he doesn't want to seem inferior to the others on the team who do openly seek command. In fact, Growl is a reliable trooper who is perfectly happy to follow Bombshock's orders.
WEAPONS/ABILITIES
Subject is immensely strong. In vehicle mode, has a roof-mounted machine gun that becomes his rifle in robot mode. He is covered with dense, angled armor designed to deflect projectile attacks.
WEAKNESSES
Subject is not very creative on his own, and is very impressionable.

Hmm...I just found out about what happened to Dirge a few days ago.
Not being a "regular" on these boards, I'm obviously not "in the loop" when it comes to what's been going on with the major players. I'm sure sorry to hear about all that.
Being as how Commander Megatron has all these other priorities on her hands, would other posters mind volunteering some profiles in the meantime?
I do want to see the ones for the Battle Squad, but I'm also interested in the profiles for the Battle Patrol, especially Sunrunner, for whom I'm having a hard time finding detailed info.

Sunrunner: As one of the few flying Autobots, Sunrunner has a bit of a superiority complex as opposed to his four wheeled Autobot collegues. His quasi-distain for his flightless comrades is fully evident in the nickname he calls his flightless friends...."Groundhogs" and doesn't earn him much favor in the ranks of his own friends in the Battle Patrol. This needless to say creates tension between Sunrunner and Battle Patrol member Flak. Flak wants his due as a strategist and tactical contributions but Sunrunner is always waiting in the background to remind the team how important his own contributions are to the successful missions the Battle Patrol run. Sunrunner's self-congratulatory needs...along with his boastful but correct summation of his usefulness serves only to make the team grudgingly agree.
Flak: Flak is the thinking bot of the group and as such has compiled a large database of defensive maneuvers and bold attacks with every possible scenario, mistake, counterattack and calculated along with counter measures pre-planned for use when in battle. Because Flak's battle plans are being added upon regularly so at the insistance of Big Shot Flak's battle and contengency plans are practiced as they become avaliable.
Flak is extremely meticulous by nature yes but also because he feels that he needs to be. Flak respects the leadership of Big Shot and obeys his leader without question....but at times feels as if his leader is not fully prepared and his lack of lateral thinking can possibly hinder the Battle Patrol's effectiveness.
Flak has taken on the burden of accentuating Big Shot's warrior's accumen with good military strategy.
Big Shot: The leader of the Battle Patrol. Big Shot is a good soldier and follows every command handed down to him by a superior out to the very letter and sees to it that his teammates do the same. This makes Big Shot a reliable warrior but hinders him to a degree because he can only think inside the parameters of his orders. When a team member skirts the orders from a superior a bit he thinks them a troublemaker who doesn't obey the rules. This thinking also makes Big Shot a bit of an outsider from the rest of his team.
Thankfully for Big Shot, he carries a weapon that is the length of his body....... assuring him that he will always have the last word in an altercation.
Sidetrack: An ironically named Autobot, Sidetrack's theory on battle is extremely simple and as follows...........
Blast one enemy until he/she/it is a smoldering pile of obliterated twisted metal then move to the next target and the next then on down the line until there is nothing with a Decepticon symbol left for Sidetrack to shoot.
This tunnel vision total destruction philosophy on war makes Sidetrack extremely popular with his commander Big Shot.
To Sidetrack there are no grey areas whatsoever. The Autobots are right and the Decepticons are wrong.
Dead wrong.
This single minded attention to one goal and his dedication to duty makes Sidetrack an extremely effective and fearsome warrior on the battlefield. His ideals however make him a bit of a loner since it clashes with the personalities of his more free minded companions.
Its a good thing Sidetrack couldn't care any less!
I cannot claim the information for my own knowledge, I got it from Wikipedia and added the biographies with my own wording so Professor Megatron won't fail me for the semester for plagerism.
(I think I'm in love with Sidetrack)

BIG SHOT

BIO
Big Shot is a precise and decisive warrior. As leader of the patrol, he doesn't believe in wastinh his or his team's time on things that are not part of the immediate tactical objective. He refuses to burn a shred of Energon or waste a single blast unless he's sure it'll acheive something. His myopic attitude and tendency to follow orders to the letter make him an excellent soldier, but sometimes hamper his abilities when he needs to think outside of the box.
WEAPONS/ABILITIES
In tank mode, Subject's cannon can fire a variety of explosive shells or switch over to straight laser blasts that charge directly from his main Energon supply. In robot mode, often uses a standard-issue Autobot rifle. Subject possesses great physical strength despite small size.
WEAKNESSES
Using his cannon to fire energy blasts can rapidly drain his power reserves. Subject's single minded devotion to his orders is his greatest weakness, although his teammates work to counter this.

Flak doesn't leave anything to chance. Fellow members of the patrol often take their success and good fortune in battle for granted, but Flak knows its partially the result of his hard work devising tactics for every conceivable scenario. In fact, he takes it upon himself to offset Bigshot's shortsighted leadership tactics by keeping the team prepared. Big Shot approves of the constant drills, but it has been a difficult process for Flak to expand Big Shot's perspective on other things. This added responsibility weighs heavily on Flak, who is the most thoughtful member of the Patrol.

Subject is an abover average military planner. In vehicle mode he can launch up to eight missiles of various types. His options include electromagnetic pulse missiles, heat-seekers, anti-personnel shrapnel, and more. he is slow in tank mode but has great physical strength overall.

He fights for the Autobots because they are the "good guys" and he hates the Decepticons because they are the "bad guys"- thats the extent of Suderack's knowledge of the politics behind the conflict. Sidetrack isn't much use when it comes to figuring out abstract dilemmas, but he's an unstoppable warrior when his goal is clear.

As is the case with many airborne Autobots, Sunrunner feels just a little superior to his ground-bound brethren. He feels his ability to operate in the air makes him a more effective warrior than his comrades, which leads to a little bit of resentment among the rest of the patrol. Sunrunner doesn't care because he knows his role as air support for the battle patrol is too valuable for them to alienate him completely. Without meaning to, Sunrunner irritates Flak by over-emphasizing his own contributions instead of the dutiful planners work.
WEAPONS/ABILITIES
Subject has great physical strength and above-average intelligence. He is a skilled combat pilot, but his vehicle mode is not very maneuverable. He has a radar scanner with an effective range of 100 miles; he also uses this to target his heat seeking missile attacks.

Subject's attitude of superiority makes him reluctant to request assistance from his comrades, and he is prone to overestimating his maneuverability in the air.

POWER PUNCH
Primary Function:AERIAL COUNTERATTACK

Power Punch is the "big stick" that squad commander Direct-Hit carries to silence his opposition, both on the battlefield and within the team. The stoic Power Punch's loyalty to Direct-Hit is born of their long time friendship, as well as the tacit understanding that as long as Direct-Hit is in command, Power Punch is second-in-command.Power Punck is aware that the team is not functioning up to par, but he erroneously blames it on the others rather than Direct-Hit's flawed leadership style. He's too close to Direct-Hit to see his friend's flaws, but he's too good a soldier to accept the teams sub par performance. the hard-nosed and fearless Power Punch is the team's greatest military asset, and he is working hard to bring the others in line. Still, even if he were confronted with evidence of Direct-Hit's incompetence, it's doubtful he would choose loyalty to the Decepticon cause over his friend.

HALF-TRACK
Primary Function:AERIAL COUNTERATTACK

Most of what Half-Track says doesn't make much sense, which is why the other members of the Battle Squad call him "Half-Wit" behind his back. It's just that Half-Track is so excitabe that his vocal circuitry can't keep up with his thoughts, making everything come out as an enthusiastic jumble. He's always eager for combat, elated at any chance to take aim at Autobot aircraft. One of the few things that his fello squad members understand from Half-Track is the running tally of downed aircraft he loudly calls out during combat.

Half-Track joins with Meltdown to form an anti-aircraft vehicle or operate as a self propelled vehicle on his own. In his vehicle mode, he is armed with twin anti-aircraft machine guns. Their effectiveness is increased by Subject's high-definition target acquisition software. In robot mode he possesses great strength.

Subject can't speak clearly when excited, making it difficult for him to convey important battlefield status reports.

Meltdown runs hot-all the time. He ignores Direct-Hit's orders in favor of his own battle plan, which is generally to rush at targets in an unthinking blind rage. This often interferes with Half-Track's ability to track and shoot down Autobot aircraft whenthe two are in their combined form. Meltdown's anger managemant problem does little to actually aid the battle squad in being more effective, but he's skilled at one-on-one combat, victims are rarely in one piece after Meltdown finishes working out his frustrations on them.

VANQUISH
Primary Function:AERIAL COUNTERATTACK
Motto:"I strike when you least expect it."
BIO
Vanquish has learned to stay quiet through his association with the paranoid but skilled Fireshot. He uses his stealth skills to stay quiet and out of sight, just under everyones "radar." Fireshot often forgets that he is combined with Vanquishas they fly in their vehicle mode, which means that Vanquish gets to hear all of his partner's self important mumbling while they spy on their comrades. Vanquish has learned to feel sorry for his beleagured partner and often backs him up when he makes a tactical suggestion. After all, Vanquish wants to stay on his good side in case Fireshot ever does replace Direct-Hit as leader.
WEAPONS/ABILITIES
Subject possesses average stength and above-average intelligence. He is skilled at aerial infiltration techniques and most stealth technologies.
WEAKNESSES
Subject focuses so much on staying hidden that his fighting skills have suffered as a result.

Fireshot often forgets that he is combined with Vanquishas they fly in their vehicle mode, which means that Vanquish gets to hear all of his partner's self important mumbling while they spy on their comrades. Vanquish has learned to feel sorry for his beleagured partner and often backs him up when he makes a tactical suggestion. After all, Vanquish wants to stay on his good side in case Fireshot ever does replace Direct-Hit as leader.

Subject possesses average stength and above-average intelligence. He is skilled at aerial infiltration techniques and most stealth technologies.
WEAKNESSES
Subject focuses so much on staying hidden that his fighting skills have suffered as a result.

BIO
Fireshot hides his paranoia under a guise of professional inquisitiveness. The ambitious flyer makes it his business to gather intelligence for the Decepticons, but he really does it just to be aware of who is against him and who isn't. He knows he is skilled enough to easily replace Direct-Hit as squad leader but prefers to "lie low" behind the scenes to avoid any hostile attention. There is something going on behind Fireshot's back, but its not the grand conspiracy that he imagines. It's just his comrades secretly laughing at him for thinking that he's importaant enough for anyone to be plotting against in the first place.
WEAPONS/ABILITIES
He combines with Vanquish to form a hypersonic spy jet. Subject has an advanced array of navigational equipment and scanners in vehicle mode, allowing him to negotiate treacherous flights through dangerous terrain in total darkness. This equipment is also highly effective for aerial surveillance and makes him adapt at hit-and-run sneak attacks.

Baseless paranoia makes it difficult for Subject to fully trust his teammates, which impedes their co-operation.
