I've seen it before too, although a quick search isn't yielding any results. What I CAN tell you is:

1) There's a chance that Ramjet is correct, in a sense. This is most likely a Bandai nee Popy/Chogokin (Bandai created Popy in the early 70s, Popy split off from Bandai and created Chogokin, Popy/Chogokin was reabsorbed by Bandai in 1983ish) figure from a "Super Sentai" series.

2) The fighting portions of the first couple seasons of the "Power Rangers" as we know them originally aired in Japan in the early 80s. I was an Air Force brat and got to watch them in their original form with subtitles right before Transformers on base. That's about 10 years before the "Power Rangers" showed up stateside. During those first couple seasons, Bandai simple spliced footage of American actors in with the old battle footage from Japan.

3) If you look closely at the figure, you *might* be able to find some letters and numbers on it that look something like "GC-13" or "PC-17". Two letters, dash, two numbers. With that, I can give you a definitive ID. If you can't find a number like that anywhere, it might help narrow down the search to know it's not numbered.

And there's your crash history lesson on Popy/Chogokin and the Power Rangers, lol.

I'm not seeing any numbers. Any idea where they would have been placed?

They could be just about anywhere, really. Usual suspects are the feet, torso, waist. But generally, I think they're almost always near the copyright stamp, so it's probably one that's not stamped. When I get a chance, I'll poke around and see if I can find him.

Found him. It's Vavilos Dx (GC-20) from Space Sheriff Shaider. Now see if you can figure out how to transform him into Gun Mode!

Oh, and I believe he came with NO accessories, so he's complete! Approximate value, in the current economy (i.e. Popy/Chogokin prices are WAY down lately), $20 USD. He's fairly common, and not from a very popular show. My records show him going for about 2.5x that two years ago.

But I found one boxed on ebay, and there where orignally some accessories:

BANDAI DX SHAIDER VAVILOS BOX SET

The boxed one is listed over $200.
Another in condition similair to mine is listed at $75, both as buy now so who knows if they'll get that.

You're correct. He does apparently come with accessories.

However, I stand by my valuation. In the last 90 days, he's sold for UNDER $40 USD shipped four times, and ONCE for $64 shipped. Four of those had boxes and sometimes even accessories. The one loose sale went for $20.50 + shipping.

Errr... though it's within the realm of possibility that you don't have the DX. You *might* have the ST. How tall is he? And how long?

Its almost exactly 11" tall in robot mode.

Thats the problem with ebay buy now, its hard to tell what the value really is.

Do you know a good site for power ranger stuff? Especially accessories.

There were bags of stuff from that huge lot of parts I bought I'm sure are power rangers. But its all bits and pieces, no big zords or action figures. I'm having a real hard time IDing any of it. I'm really hoping some Ranger fan has created a database like TFL's, but at this point I'm losing hope.

I've found sites with pictures of a lot of the toys. But 1 shot of a sealed box is not at all helpful to identify a single part or accessory.

ok this one might be a little hard because I seem to have lost the figure, but It wasn't by hasbro it had a white chest, blue legs, a chrome head and blue arms and oddly enough I think it turned into a pen ? if anyone has any idea what it is i'd be grateful.

that first one is the best site I had found, but I wasn't able to id anything with it.

I'll check the second one, they seem to have pictures of the loose accessories for at least some things.

Conveniently, he's called "Transforming Ballpoint Pen Robo". He comes from Bandai's Machine Robo (i.e. Go-Bots) series. Unless you have the knock-off version. There's also a (rarer) red version.

If they didn't have one of the coolest combiners ever (Monsterous), you need to find a new Gobots site!

Incidentally, I'm *slowly* working on a "Grand Master Ultra Super Nifty Unified Accessory Identification" guide. But I completely suck at coding and whatnot, so I've kind of hit a brick wall until I hit the books and learn some more.

@Wheezel- I look forward to it. I've got like 4 or 5 gallon size ziplocks of pieces I cannot ID. Its very frustrating. Although I'm hopeful that I'll find some site to ID the GI Joes and Star Wars ones.
