Trust me, weeks even months of them where my best find is a few happy meal toys.

Craig's list is your friend. Look up garage sales and if you find a listing that mentions transformers get there before it opens.

At the one where I got these some guy was there an hour before it opened and bought all the ones out. I showed up a little later (over an hour drive for me) and he mentioned they were sold so I was looking around at his computer stuff talking to him and asked if he had others. He though he might and went in to look and out came these.

I've never even been able to find Transformers at a Garage sale! I remember several years ago seeing one in the newspaper advertising Tf's, and I got their right as they were opening... but they had Power Rangers not Transformers.

I never find Tf's advertised on craigs list either.

Anyways I picked up Ravage at Walmart last night.

Finally..after a LONG time searching, I snagged this very cool KO version varient of G1 Grimlock. I call him "GRIMZILLA!" He is awesome looking and I took comparison pics of him with my original G1 Grimlock and G1 Prehistoric Grimlock.

I thought I had a lucky find yesterday. But today I might have had far better luck.

I got some good stuff in trade from Opey.

But my real find were these. Either these are all reissues or KOs or I have gotten a whole group of vintage toys that are in far better shape than any other g1 items I've ever had. And at a fantastic price too.

Normally I'd assume they were reissues. But I've not heard of a reissue of Metroplex or swoop. And also the car clock thing another I'd not heard of another version.

Anyone tell me how to check they're really vintage?

But if they are genuine, the lesson to learn is when selling on ebay always show every item included in the picture or description. 90% of all the accessories were a total bonus and most of the stickers were blocked by other items.

If they're real I really need to get a lotto ticket.

Metroplex HAS been officially (ENCORE) reissued... AND a KO of that reissue has been released. Swoop has been knocked off as well, but not officially reissued.

But, looking at your pics, it *looks* like:
1) Swoop's head has a tiny bit of age yellowing to it... that tells me it's probably legit.
2) Metroplex's antenna looks to have some yellowing/dirt. Again, that tells me it's probably legit.
3) The car/watch is vintage. It could possibly be a vintage KO, but it's vintage. This lends to the provenance of your lot as well.
4) PLEASE PM me a price for that Anti-Aircraft Base. I'll be out of town for the weekend (a *small* TF con, woo!), though, so no big hurry.
5) You got love "5 Foot Specials" huh?

This second group wasn't a garage sale. It was an ebay sale with a bad description.

The listing just had this picture. No description, except to say this is from their own closet.

but if you want to find garage sales, like I said look at craigs list. Show up before they open if they actually say transformers among their item. Every time I've seen one that listed it there were either vintage ones in good shape, or bins filled with them.

This is reissue Landcross DX Stealth complete.

These are fake ko micromasters that I found on ebay. Really cheap pieces of cr*p. They look like a box of crayola crayons exploded.

G1 First Aid (VG+ cond, large cannon, no rifle)

G1 Submarauder (Inc outer shell, no weapons 0.99GBP)

G1 Skullgrin (inc outer shell, shell belt and sholder bits, no weapons, 0.99GBP)

G1 Seaspray (ex cond 1.70GBP)
G1 Battletrap (borderline NM/VG+ cond, 0.99GBP)
G1 Bonecrusher (VG+, no accessories, 0.99GBP)
G1 Override (VG+, some chrome wear on the guns, 0.99GBP)

and this is the one im most chuffed with:
G1 Ratchet (No-red-cross-on-the-roof version, missing a tyre and one tread, can be easily repaired, 0.99GBP
