As TF fans we know alot more of what's happeing in the movie other than say a normal, walk in off the street viewer. I imagine they can get totally lost in the movie and not alot of it make sense too them. I had a hard time trying to make sense of some of the stuff, or the ideals they were trying to potray. I think it's a good movie, but lacks any one direction. I think there is enough in the movie to make 2 or 3 more....

I really enjoyed it. Twice. I will however say that I agree with some of you on a few points: Half the time I couldn't tell what was going on or who was winning... or even who was fighting in some scenes, the comedy was funny but too much crotch humor. I am annoyed with the Decepticon Dialouge of: Blarrrg!...Arrrgh...Decepticons Attack!...Gheeeerrrrgh...
Soundwave had the most cohearent dialogue of the 'cons... kinda makes since...?
I also felt some of the personalitys were overdone especially the twins, Jetfire and Wheelies.
But overall I really liked it. Will definently get it when it comes to Dvd.

All that was needed is a catalyst... and the machines of war are set in motion.

I've watched ROTF yesterday evening at the theatre
!
There is much action and robots have more space than in the 2007's one,for a lot of aspects it's really a very great movie ;maybe something could have been developed in a better way,but for a lot of things I prefer it to the first one.
I won't still spoil for the ones that haven't still watched it.

""" LMAO OMG thats friggin hilarious GalvyGalvatron wrote:I think """"""Mrs. Galvatron's Quintesson""""" is going to have our mini cons stay the night at her house tonight!
That means I can go watch the movie again!!!
WHOOHOOOO!!!
One point I will maybe say is when dev is transformed why are his parts driving around and fighting at th same time..... ??? anyone notice that?

"Look at Megatron. I'm gonna blast that smile off his faceplate".
Saw it yesterday and came away disappointed. Maybe I had expectations that were too high this time around.
I wanted more robots, as in more character development of the bots. Get to know them more. The movie does give us more robots, as in more 'bots in every frame. I wish we could have seen some more of the new bots (maybe at the expense of the time that was given to the twins and/or Wheelie).
I was also confused during the Egypt battle. I'll ask my question in spoiler mode for those who haven't seen the film yet:
Question: Just how many copies of the Constructicons are there anyway? While Devastator was pounding away on the pyramid, other Constructicons were fighting in the village (I know I saw Long Haul and Mixmaster in the village). And then there's the red Rampage that Bumblebee puts down. Are there multiple copies of the Constructicon bots? Anyone know what was going on there?
EDIT: Cliffjumper just beat me to the Constructicon question (speedy little Autobot). So, was that a major plot snafu or are there supposedly multiple copies of the Constructicons?
Another unrelated question: Anyone else catch the brief Bonecrusher cameo?
Bottom line, an enjoyable 2.5 hours. Just wish we'd gotten more of the new characters (like someone mentioned earlier, Jolt just sort of appears and never gets to do or say much of anything). I guess there is a bright side to that - a quiet Jolt is better than the noise made by the twins and Wheelie.

To Shrapnel and Cliffjumper:
ATTENTION:SPOILER!!
For the multiple Constructicons question, yes,I've also noticed the thing and in those moments surprised me.
For example when Devastator is combined I remember very well that, for example, another Mixmaster appears in the battle involving Jetfire and others.
I think that simply, exist different Constructicons of the same type
On Wikipedia too is written this thing and the two Mixmaster are considered "twin".
I highly doubt that Bay,just in order to add more 80's G1 feeling would have inserted typical errors of those years with mixed characters ,as a funny joke for old fans

Scrapper, I never thought about it as an intentional sly reference to the quaint mistakes of the original series. You're right that it probably isn't the case, but it'd be funny if it were.Scrapper wrote:I highly doubt that Bay,just in order to add more 80's G1 feeling would have inserted typical errors of those years with mixed characters ,as a funny joke for old fans.
