Another update (that's quite a few today!) and the second to last..... the next update for SunStorm, he'll be FINISHED! YAY! Just got the canopy to do now. I have done his face and head now and have gone over a few areas with black again that needed it....




As soon as I've finished him today, I'll post him finished, then crack on with CMs pic

Thanks guys - it makes it all worthwhile to hear nice comments can't stop now though.... I've got stuck right into CMs pic

Done some more sketching work.... corrected the eyes a little, started adding the real stark black areas and some fine detail lines on metalwork. It took me about 2 1/2 weeks to do that SunStorm, so I'm gonna see how quickly I can get this done now I'm in a painting frame of mind

I'll start blacking all those areas up tomorrow that are shaded in pencil, then proceed from there. Here he is commander;

Thanks Galv - he is looking OK so far.... for this one, I'm trying to get hold of some luminescent/translucent paint for the shining eyes effect. That stage is a long way off though, it will be one of, if not the last detail I add. I'm gonna be sure to capture all the close up metal crack and dents he has too.
