Metrotitan Repaint Completed!
Well...it's finally done! I have completely transformed a spare Metroplex into a repaint of the evil Metrotitan from the Transformers Zone series.
I got the stickers all put on and have comparison pics of the real one vs. my repainted one. It's my first real attempt at re-painting a figure and I don't have much skill at repainting, but I gave it my best shot! I don't think it's half bad for my first time!
Here is the Real one in Robot mode:

And here's my repaint in robot mode:

Note: Mine figure is missing one white shoulder antenna and I chose to leave the eye color red verses the lime green color of the real one.
Next is the real one in battle station mode:

Here's my repaint in battle station mode:

This pic I just noticed that I have some small boo boos with the black paint. And I know the comaprison pics with my camera make the blue paint look really a lighter shade. But I promise you just looking at it in person, it looks like the right color of blue. Oh well! SIGH.........
Here's the real one in mobile mode:

And here's my repaint in mobile mode:

****Well...let me have your honest thoughts! Be kind.......

Well done SentinelPrime, for your first real attempt that is excellent! I see you went for the full white legs rather then leaving the chrome and I like it. Also I think that the re-pro stickers are a nice finishing touch and enhance it quite nicely.
Keep up the good work SentinelPrime, and I look faorward to seeing your next project.

R.I.P, Menasor.
I can't believe I thought Cassettes were the way of the future.
Is +1 on Kups list.

Lance, your custom needs something: Better pictures! When they are taken with flash, the detail gets flattened and detracts from the overall look. Try lighting with either natural sunlight, or a white light desk lamp. You'll see that the results will pay off! Other than that, it looks like a good job to me!

Thank you ALL so much for the kind words and great advice! This is one of the major reasons why I love this site and you all are considered a part of my family! Other sites would have tore me to shreds or would be very nit-picky!
To answer a couple of questions:
1) The only figure I have is the repaint, I do not have an original Metrotitan, it was pics from a site called cobraislands.com. Definitely could NOT afford a real one as Des pointed out on an evilbay auction! $800 bucks??? OUCH!! Not thanks! I only paid $45 bucks for the Metroplex figure and maybe $10 bucks for paint and brushes! Heck of a savings!
2) I did fight the nasty air bubbles. I also made the mistake of not priming the black parts on Metroplex and I had to paint several coats on the red and blue sections!
3) All the stickers are from Reprolabels--A Metrotitan set.
4) Thanks Jose for the great lighting tips on taking pics. I may try to take some more with your suggestions and see how they turn out!
***I learned a lot from this painting project; what to do and what not to do. My next repaint project is to repaint Nightbeat into my own cheaper version of a very rare headmaster from the Masterforce series: Minerva/Minelba. Last time I saw one for sell: $2500 bucks! Ridiculous!!!
