Sideways abandons the fight and hits the afterburner, leaving no traces as he enters Cybertron's Orbit.

I ain't going anywhere fella's. I got's a birdseye view of the battle from here.

Rattrap runs into the shuttle seeing a very weak Dinobot Uggghh, try standing downwind from yourself sometime vermin. Rattrap chuckles to that depite all the commotion. Upon the shuttle landing, I saw an underground entrance that has been covered up for a very long time. Im sure that none of the decepticons, or their new found autobums know about it. We need to cut a hole in the shuttle, and make our way out of here. After we open it we need to get the seriously injured down it first, then call upon the rest to get down there. Give me some of your charges. When you're done, i'll go first and rig it to blow once we're all clear.

[Sideways]

Rev overhears Rattrap and Dinobot discussing the escape plan. He hobbles over to them.

I wish to remind everyone about rule 3.
3. Be considerate of others. If you know what you post will have an affect on someone else's character or that they would like to respond to it, then give them an opportunity to do so. Don't just keep moving things so fast that only a few people can respond. Sure this will slow things down considerably, but it makes the RP a lot more enjoyable for everyone.

Arcee left an opening for me to attack Dinobot and I woke up to find him taken to the shuttle. Please everyone, try to make your actions slower. This battle so far would have lasted no longer than a few minutes real time due to the speed posting. I think it has been forgotten that when you guys are all posting at night, that us European posters are in bed, then at work and when we arrive to post you are all so far ahead that it is hard to be an active part of the story. Thanks for listening.

OOC. In light of this and other things that have come up during this battle I am going to start a discussion once everything resolves to deal with some issues. We have a lot of new roleplayers who just joined during this and with some of the other happenings in the RP I think it's the best thing. So just look for that in the next few days once this battle resolves. Thank you.

IC. Blackjack sees the arrow and knows that there is nothing he can do about it. He prepares for the worst, but he also realizes he has time for one more shot at Deszaras. He makes it count. His target is the center of the Decepticon's forehead. He knows that the slight distraction is all he needs. The blast from the energy bow hits him and he can feel the pain shoot through sensors. Every part of his circuitry feels as though it's on fire, yet he knows that this fight isn't over yet, it can't be. As his fall brings him closer to his foe, he uses his momentary distraction to aim a kick directly at Deszaras's head using his falling momentum to strike his enemy. He falls to the ground and stands shakily, trying to think of something to do next.

OOC. I think what has gone overlooked here in my post is not that the Autobots are capitulating. What i tried to convey through joking irony in my post earlier today is that key posts have been ignored, resulting in a very different outcome that was even possible before. While it is realistic for a Decepticon victory in this battle, given intelligence gained through Arcee and Rodimus, and overwhelming forces, let us re-examine some points of the battle here.

Firstly. While it is clear the Autobots are retreating from Iacon out the side gate, the shuttle to which they are retreating is tucked away somewhere outside Iacon, not where every Con in the hemisphere would be shooting at it. Secondly, you'll note I included a quote of Sideways using the core
containment device he's been toting around to create a solid energon shield around the shuttle. While this immunity is temporary, due to the power being drained from sideways himself, it is still present, protecting the already hidden shuttle from one-post attacks.

Even so, the shuttle has managed several interesting things: It has been entirely disabled on three separate occasions, consecutively. It has also veered off course and crashed, despite no one implying its takeoff... Go see for yourself.


Once again, I refer you to Rodimus Prime's post earlier concerning one-hit kills. Destroying the shuttle is effectively a one-hit kill on all wounded Autobots left on the ground. Please read posts preceding yours.

So, let's all have a chuckle that this managed to happen in such a cart-before-the-horse manner. The state of the battle is this, up til where things stopped making sense:

-Blackjack is fighting Deszaras, having evacuated the Royal Flush.
-Dinobot is trying to escape Rodimus and Arcee, while Sideways attempts to tow Cambreaker by winch (not wench, Galvy!) to safety.
-Galvatron has freed himself from the shield, and now all his Playbots are soaked with transmission fluid from the battle.
-Sunstorm, Nightshade are returning from their cruel prank on Rumble at the smelting pool, and the other Seekers still patrolling the flank they were originally going to attack from... Which was the opposite side of Iacon from the shuttle exodus.
-Rattrap is returning to the courtyard to help Sideways, Cam, and Dinobot escape.
-Cliffjumper, Kup, GB, and the throttlebots are leaving out a side door to the shuttle.
-Rev has a defensive setup on the way from Iacon's side gate to the shuttle.
-Snarl is still in the fray, having been angered by Arcee's explosive arrows landing in front of him.
-Knowledge of the shuttle has not been disavowed IN CHARACTER to any Decepticons, and it is further shielded and still on the ground, waiting for its remaining passengers. Further, it is large and sturdy enough TO GO THROUGH SPACE... it is unlikely one hit would send it careening off-course once it has taken off.

they exit Iacon quickly and head to board the ship

CJ transforms and speeds back into to iacons tunnels to get to the front gates where the battle is taking place

* The blow from Megatrons flail sends Snarl stumbling backwards and leaves a huge dent in snarls armoured hide *

*Takes the full force of Snarls charge and lands up against the wall*

"Urrrr...*Shakes head* So dinodolt, you think you can defeat me eh? Arcee, this relic of old is mine. Though if you wouldn't mind watching out for any intrusions while I dispose of this dinodolt I would be glad of your assistance."

[Grimlock]

* Snarl transforms into robot mode and leaps at Megatron *
" ME SNARL YOUNG ENOUGH TO SCRAP YOU "

[Commander Megatron]

*The two transformers clash together, the sound of them sliding across the ground is deafening*

"Is that all you've got Snarl? Here try this...*punchers Snarl in the face*
how was that? Foolish Dino..AAAAARRRRRGGGHHH! *Screams in pain as Snarl slashes his left arm with his sword. The wound has cut through the armor and their is energon seeping out.*

"You will pay for that, pay dearly...."

[Sunstorm]

-Sunstorm, Nightshade are returning from their cruel prank on Rumble at the smelting pool, and the other Seekers still patrolling the flank they were originally going to attack from... Which was the opposite side of Iacon from the shuttle exodus.

*As Sunstorm and Nightshade return to the skies above Iacon, Rodimus' order comes screaming in over their radio*

"SEEKERS - BRING THE RAIN!!!"

[Sunstorm over radio to other seekers]

"Dirge, Astrotrain, Firehawk - we need you up here with us. Retreat from your position in the forward entrances and join us in the skies."

"What's our plan, Sunstorm?" asked Nightshade

"We need to get to the Autobots evacuating positions - whilst we wait for the other 3 to join us, we'll ascend as high as possible to try and get a viewpoint on their shuttle."

[Sunstorm over radio to all seekers]

"Dirge, Astrotrain, Firehawk - when you join us, Nightshade and I will have some recon information on that Autobot shuttle. I'll send you target coordinates as soon as we have them. You 3 are to attack and immobilize their engine and power systems, hopefully we might even stop them taking off...."

"Where are you and Nightshade going?" asked Dirge

"We're planning a little visit on their main control bridge...." Sunstorm laughed maniacally, as he and Nightshade disappeared into the uppermost levels of the sky to collect their reconnaisance...

"Remember seekers, be ready for this target information and attack as soon as you have it - that Autobot scum won't know what hit them!"

[Grimlock]

" ME SNARL CUT YOU INTO LITTLE BITS WITH SWORD "
* Snarl takes another swipe with his sword *

[Commander Megatron]

*Side steps the attack and smashes Snarl across the back with the flail*

"Hahahahahahaaa!!! Now it is time to die Dinobot, you are no match for Megatron."

*Strides over to finish Snarl and is met with a right handed uppercut, sending the Decepticon Commander sprawling*

"Curse you, a well struck blow Snarl. But then, so was this."

*Punches Snarl and knocks the Dinobot into the wall. Walks towards Snarl, spinning the flail as he does so.*

"When I am through with you there won't be enough pieces top sweep up."

*Looks up and sees the jets roar overhead*

"Yes, my plan is working to perfection."

[Grimlock]

* Snarl picks himself out of what is left of the wall and sees Megatron looking up, switches to Dino mode and hits Megatron with his tail *

[Time Traveller]

Cambreaker feels his transaxle turning. He must be getting that tow. He calls ahead to Sideways on the private comm.

Sideways... is the shuttle safe still? If anyone's aboard, tell them there are a couple quad AA cannons on the roof, and to man them...Maybe use the re-entry shields topside for fire cover?

[Deszaras]

Deszaras takes the blow and it fractures his visor and a chunk of it flies away falling to the ground. He slams down onto his back from the excess momentum, dropping his longbow in the process. Grabbing the rubble nearby he pulls himself to his feet. His ball and chain appear in his hand.

"Not smart" He remarks at blackjack making eye contact with the autobot. His vision starts to swim as he pulls the weapon back before committing a horizontal attack against his foe. His fallen bow transforms into his tiger breast which being closer, lunges forwards and sinks its teeth into blackjacks lower leg.

[Dinobot]

Dinobot's beast mode has made his recovery from the arrows happen quickly. While not fully charged, he takes Sideways call about the AA guns. He transforms and climbs to the top. I may not be able to fully engage, but I will bring some heat!

[Sunstorm]

*High up in the skies above Iacon, Sunstorm and Nightshade have spotted their target, the Autobot escape shuttle. They begin scanning it for it's weak points and simultaneously transmit the data to Dirge, Firehawk and Astrotrain*

[Sunstorm over radio to all seekers]

"Dirge, Firehawk, Astrotrain - Nightshade and I are transmitting target weaknesses to you now. Proceed to our coordinates and attack these targets - their engines and fuel lines!"

"OK Nightshade - if we approach their bridge, even at full speed, with their blanket firing, we're bound to be knocked off course and hurt, if not picked off altogether. Their shield may stop us too...... I want us to smash right into their bridge so we can rip them apart from the inside out... Here's what I want you to do so we can bypass the shield......"

*Sunstorm continues to reveal his plan, harnessing Nightshade's now invaluable warp capability. Nightshade begins to follow his instruction and, from the huge height they are at starts a vertical dive in jet mode, accelerating faster, faster, faster.... Sunstorm transforms into his robot mode and holds onto Nightshade whilst she continues her descent, charging his radiation blast as they gather speed.... just as they reach peak speed, Nightshade warps them within inches of the shuttle's bridge, Sunstorm unleashes his blast, and carrying their speed, they smash their way straight into the very heart of the control bridge of the shuttle*

[Time Traveller]

Killing everyone aboard no doubt, and preventing the other wounded autobots from escaping, and they are routed and killed by the fully intact Rodimus, Arcee, Megatron, Galvatron, Deszaras, Seekers, and Insecticons.

OOC. *facepalm* I do hate to interrupt, but I do think we're missing something here. Again: I do not recall any Decepticons taking the time to actually DISCOVER the shuttle without magically just KNOWING about it. It was never even mentioned explicitly on Autobot comms. And again, it's not just sitting out in the open, thusly tucked away from plain sight. On top of that, while teleporting through two shields, while one is entirely energon, and crippling the shuttle in one hit is a bit unreasonable, neh?
So please, let's maintain the level of clever and subtle strategy in posts here, but not pull a one-post endgame on either side. Thank you all for participating, and let's please continue.
