Displaying seekers.
When you display the three later seekers (thrust, ramjet and dirge) do you leave the nosecone in an uopright position to mirror the cartoon or do you fold the nosecone back as in the instructions.

It kinda depends on how loose they are. Sometimes, with the cone back, the chest like to swing forward. I usually display them all in jet mode. I don't remember Thrust from the cartoons, but I always do Dirge and myself cones up. Plus the Classics me is cone up only, so it just looks better. I always thought they looked like little KKK members, though, with their cones up.

Cones up.
Here's a tip for the cockpits that swing back with the cone back (for the '84 jets)...
Open the cockpit window. Put the landing gear in the cockpit, tab end first, where the feet of the pilot would be. lean the wheels right on the bubble's joint, and close the bubble. The gear will lean forward against the bubble, and the weight of the metal wheels will help balance the nosecone A LOT!
Plus, this stores the gear til next transformation. It doesn't look bad either!

I say definetly up on the later seekers, I never thought they looked odd that way.
As for the looseness, if you feel up to it take a small punch (or screwdriver) and a small hammer. Carefully remove the pin shown in the picture bellow, the pin will only come out one direction so tap the pin on its smallest side.

After the pin is out the whole cockpit/nose section will come off. With it off take the main body and VERY lightly squeeze the 2 halves together just a little, it shouldn't take much though, you don't want to over do it.

(I know I've looked better
) Try to fit the nose/cockpit back in without the pin to see how tight it is. If its tight then replace the pin the same way it came out. Now it should be all tight in robot mode.

YOU HAVE SUNSTORM!SentinelPrime878 wrote:Definitely must keep them true to the G1 cartoon series! Nose cones up for Ramjet, Thrust, and Dirge! Nose cones down for Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp. Also not featured in G1 series, but have the figure, Sunstorm, (orange -colored) nose cone down!
DAMN YOU!!!
Nice collection.... I'm hoping to maybe get a Sunstorm this Christmas or customize a Starscream....
