Hi everyone,
I was thinking of buying an old hot rod figure and making him more show-like and more poseable, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions ? I haven't really done anything like this before all info will be greatly appreciated !

I don't know how to make him more movable but I know how you can gussy him up looks wise!

Go to your local hobby shop and look in their pine car kit section. There you will (hopefully) find some rub on decals. They are made of extremely thin plastic and have thick opaque plastic backers. The side that goes onto the car has a very mild/weak adhesive on it to hold it onto the car until you seal it. More on that in a nanowhatever


The decals for the pine cars I have bought have real automotive supply company symbols you can use like Champion, Holley, Hurst. There are packs where you can buy just pinstriping, letters and numbers (with white circles to put them on) along with international racing flags. All of these decals are size correct/scaled for the Transformers vehicles because I've used them.

They're really cheap too! They only cost around $5.50 to $6.00 per rub on kit and you'll never believe how great they can make a Transformer look!

You have to be careful and make sure the whole decal is rubbed on before you take up the backer but if I can do it and not mess it up anybody can do it! If you do make a mistake just rub it off with your finger and and try again!

They apply onto the car with light pressure from a pencil like the old Presto Magix sets. (anyone remember those)

When you're done you'll have to buy a little bottle of acrylic sealer and paint it on the decals with a thin paintbrush so they will harden a little, stay on the car and not rub off. They look fantastic when you're done!

Also....... with acrylic sealer.......follow the instructions to the letter! If you think you've stirred it up well enough...stir it some more. I had a boo boo moment when I was applying mine!
