Which new Star Wars LEGO did you get? I just picked up the AT-TE and the all new 2009 Darth Vader's Tie Fighter. It's movie accurate and isn't Blue. There's a new Darth Vader figure which has more accurate details and a new Face!

The AT-TE was $88 and the TIE was $30. I've had the Republic Gunship for months, it's an awesome ship, huge too. Does yours have problems with the bottom falling apart? If i pick mine up wrong, it'll break apart in the cargo area.

I just want to buy Legos! Seriously. Just Legos. No freaking Star Wars ships, no castles, no pirate ships. Just sell me some freaking Legos! Is that too much to ask? (I went to FOUR different toy stores/department stores with large toy departments... NONE sold just basic Lego sets. Aaargh!)

Yeah, just basic blocks. As far as I can tell, you can't buy them at retail stores anymore :(.

If it wasn't for the likely egregious international shipping charges, I'd probably take you up on that offer, Hound!

Hey wheezel, check out the Lego Creator series, they're about as basic as the sets are these days. I saw some new ones at ToysRUs this week.

PM'd ya, Cliff.

Lego is my original toy obsession. I've got pieces going back as far as I can remember; even before the release of GI Joe or Transformers. I've got millions of pieces (literally!! ). The castle series is my favorite. Here's a couple of my 'crown jewels':

Star Wars legos...
I spent last, 2007, Christmas night building a bunch of those sets with my brother and his kids. They buy some older sets off Ebay. They are pretty price savy so I don't think it was too much. I built like three things myself. All four kids got at least one set. They are sweet and I have one, Anakin's Jedi Star fighter, but are more expensive then TFs. So I choose Tfs over Legos 99% of the time.

The AT-TE is a blast to build, and really stable too.

Won't be long before you start making custom models, CJ. If you do, check out MOCpages.com. It's a great place to post and share custom models.

I've done some custom Lego building myself (http://www.mocpages.com/folder.php/6456). I particularly enjoyed making the "Farscape" pieces.

I always wanted to make an OP out of Legos. Isn't there a place where you can order bricks of different colors?

RJ, eBay is usually a good source for pieces. Also check out www.bricklink.com.

I've seen some pretty impressive Lego Transformers. My favorite has to be Shellshock - he's done in the movie-style and transforms without removing any pieces. Pretty darn sweet. The guy that made it is a Lego genius.
