I bought the TF Identification and price guide by Mark Bellomo some time ago and find it an excellent book.

Are there books for the other TF-series as well?

J.E. ALVEREZ did like 3 or 4 books one on beast wars and one on japan excl. and some others they are not like the bellamo books but they help none the less

The best one out there by far!! If you go to the interview thread Mark was the first interviewee!!

There were also, as Pirannocon mentioned those by J.E.Alvarez, I have the most recent US/UK G1 version and the Japanese one as well. All the ID books are reviewed in my comic review thread in Non-Toy talk.
