I've finally decided...
There WILL be a gaping whole in my G1 collection.
I sucked it up, and bought Fort Max.
I sucked it up, and bought Thunderwing (though now I'm disappointed... I thought he'd be... bigger?)
Eventually, I'll suck it up and buy a Battlefield Headquarters (or cobble one together, as I think I have most of the bits).
But, It's a tough pill to swallow, but I have reluctantly decided that I WILL NOT buy TM Scourge. (Well, unless one falls in my lap in a lot, or for about 1/3 the going rate.)
Instead, I will have this nice nifty box for him that I picked up on the cheap. Close enough for me. The madness MUST stop somewhere, and the line must be drawn HE-AH! $200+ is simply too steep a price to pay for, essentially, a two inch targetmaster (since the Scourge mold is basically unchanged).
With that said, I believe I have completed (at least) two of everything excluding the Pretenders, Action Masters, and Micromasters (since these simply don't have interesting enough alt modes to warrant duals).
Now I just have about 5 or 6 to go to get the entire G1 (US) line (minus TM Scourge) out of the way. Woot!

To know others you must know yourself first!
The bigger they are the bigger thud they make when they fall!!!

Have you *actually* looked at, held and messed with the BETTER Pretenders or Action Masters? I was in your camp too... until I got a few of the better ones in a lot. They surprised me. dang it.Bumblebee wrote:i have totally decided to stay away from pretenders and actionmasters
Nope, not at all. I have his box. So I know exactly what he looks like. And it will be a testament to this fact:Brawn wrote:if you have every G1 except TM scourge wouldn't it drive you nuts to know that he is all you would need?just playing devils advocate.

I agree with Brawn here....TM Scourge (with bigger holes -shut up Galvy
- than the common Scourge for the TM to fit) and Fracas would be the only missing G1 Tf....what a pity
When you are obsessed, where's the problem with "completely"?

Far over the Misty Mountains cold, To dungeons deep and caverns old. The pines were roaring on the height, The winds were moaning in the night, The fire was red, it flaming spread, The trees like torches blazed with light.

I was planning on getting everything G1 sealed, but then decided to get the rest mib because everyone and their mom is buying these damn things now. Now I'm wondering if I will ever complete the line just loose at all. I really don't want them loose, but i can't keep spending this kind of cash.
I'm really pissed I missed a Targetmaster Cyclonus on Ebay a few days ago with box for buy it now of $110 dollars. I'm sure the buyer will put it on and get $300-400 for it.
Good luck to anyone trying to complete this line in any way.

Highly doubtful. We're in a recession, after all! While Transformers initially strongly resisted the recessionary trend (and in some instances, still do), prices ARE beginning to fall pretty much across the board now, EVEN WITH the recently released movie.skywarp408 wrote:I was planning on getting everything G1 sealed, but then decided to get the rest mib because everyone and their mom is buying these damn things now. For example, you also missed this (not quite as good of a deal, but relatively comparable):
