Antex G1 TF's?

Hello all. Kick azz forums, glad I finally got approved xD

Are these figures considered real TF's and if so are these considered G1's?

Sorry for the lengthy approval period. The moderators have been very busy deleting accounts gerated by ad-bots, and I've been quite busy trying to prevent them from creating accounts in the first place (not an easy task, believe you me!)

Yes, they are considered real G1 TF's from South America. Sad to say however they are not all that rare. Several years ago the yellow Windcharger would have been worth a couple hundred bucks, but once people started dumping them on the market, the value rapidly dropped to about $10-$20 each.
If I were you, I'd just keep them and enjoy them. I wouldn't mind having a nice collection of all the different color variants

Well I got both the above pictured G1's for 29.99 on ebay so I thought why the hell not. Should I keep em sealed or will it even really matter for these guys? O.o

value wise, it wouldn't make that much of a difference. Open the package as neatly as possible so you can still display as MOSC, plus you can still play with them

Welcome aboard. As Matt said, the Argentinian Transformers aren't high valued, nor too difficult to find either, but they are fun to collect. You need four more to complete the set, as they only made Bumblebee, Cliffjumper and Windcharger, every one in two colors respectively.

In my opinion the hardest to find of the South American TFs are the Peruvian issues, and worldwide speaking, I would say the Greek issues are the rarest among the rare. It's all a matter of distribution I guess.

If you are going to open them, I suggest you to put them in a Ziploc and then place them on the freezer, the bubble will pop out with no harm to the cardboard.

Yes... Before knowing that I used to open blisters with a X-Acto knife.

However, this little trick is also what prevents me from buying sealed figures for a premium,as they can be resealed too.

Wow very neat trick! I must remember this! When I finally got those 2 TF the original owner put them in there own protective hard plastic containers so I feel I should leave them as is. I got them from another collector who obviously cared alot for them. I can always buy extras for cheap on ebay I guess if I wanna open them.

About G1's, so the value of the same G1 figure can very depending on the country it originated from? For instance if I find a USA version of this same BumbleBee it could be worth more? I had tons of TF's as a kid and lost them all =( So I am slowly trying to regain my lost toys again and I am learning from scratch all about collecting TF's again. Oo

Value has a lot to do with how desirable an item is... The Argentinian minivehicles aren't as common as their Japanese counterparts, but they aren't as high priced though.

For example, Optimus an Grimlocks aren't rare at all, but you can see they often command premium prices. In the other hand, a good shape Powerdasher is by far less common, but it will never be that sought after, just because it's ugly.

Finally, the value a figure can fetch is subject to desirability AND availability. It's logical to think the more scarce (re geography), the more expensive, but in this hobby not always everything is too logical.

hey, thanks for that tip about opening.... though the ol' exacto's always a little quicker on christmas morning

that, and so few modern packages would fit in even a gallon ziploc...

The fastest of all methods is the couple of hands and proper strenght applied. It's not necessary the neatest way, though!

actually, i have it all worked out now. you just oscillate your wrist back and forth at about 60 Hz, timed out with the right pressure at the finger tips.... works like an air wrench on lug nuts!
